“Excellent”

I have to agree with every other reviewer and commend this first-rate hotel. For those who don't know, a Hilton Garden Inn is a slimmed down version of the normal big Hilton hotel, but with the same high standards. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. Buffet breakfast was expensive but very filling. Being in VA meant the hotel was better value than a similar place across the Potomac but it was still only 2 Metro stops from Foggy Bottom. Being next to a courthouse, there were lots of police around and the area (restaurants and cinema nearby) felt totally safe. Lastly, if flying long haul into Dulles, you can get here without having to cross DC, great if you're tired. I would happily stay here again.

“Good base for visiting Washington”

The Hilton Garden Inn Arlington is purpose built modern hotel whch is very clean and well maintained. The rooms typicaly sized for this type of hotel in the US, and larger than equivalent rooms in European hotels. My room at the back of the hotel overlooked a block of flats, and was very quite. I felt safe in the hotel and local area. There is an on site bar and resturant (not used on this visit), and parking (again not used on this visit). The hotel is on a steep hill. It is about 400m (about 400 yards) for the Courthouse Metro. There are a number of places to eat within about 5 minutes walk of the hotel. The hotel standards were the same as on my previous vist last year. I would stay there again.

“Great Quality at a Great Price”

Although this once modern hotel is very slightly ageing in places, it is still an excellent option for DC visits: within 2 Metro stops of the District but notably cheaper. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, no problems at all. The adjustable beds were incredibly comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone and would stay here again if I am next in DC.
