“Affordable, Convenient, Great Shuttle Service, Helpful Front Desk”
All the employees were helpful. Shuttle Sefvice to and from Metro and local restaurants was efficient. Rooms were clean.
“Courtyard Meriott”
This hotel has a very nice lobby as you enter. They have a coffee shop that was ok. The service was not as good as expected you had to wait for them to attend to you even though there was no one in line but me. The housekeeping was not done in an appropriate maner. I had to finally put the sign not to disturb because i had to get ready for an event. Front desk was great the personnell was friendly and helpful.
“Its okay...others are more conveinent and better”
Overall, I would say the hotel and the staff was average. That being it had all the regular amenities for a hotel near a major airport. However, they could have had a free breakfast, better staff willing to throw in upgrades for business travellers or other promotional advantages. Instead it was strictly this is it....drinks in the lobby $2.50 each for a small bottle of soda. Everything is charge, charge, charge... I could see that if it were a more grandoise hotel on a palace like spread... its just a Courtyard by Marriot.
“Nice place to stay near DC”
I stayed here over the weekend to visit DC; the hotel was fine. The airport and Metro shuttles were convenient, check-in staff pleasant and quick, room was fine. Close to restaurants too; the only possible drawback was the internet speed was a bit slow but that wasn't a major issue. I would definitely stay there again.
“Comfortable, Affordable”
While commuting back and forth into the center of DC might be a bit daunting (it takes about 30 minutes IF the shuttle arrives right away to take you to the metro station) it is conveniently located. The metro stop is about 7 blocks away so on a nice day you could walk there. Unfortunately, it was raining when I was there! Also, the barista was really sweet and nice. Oh, and I was able to check in right away and use the free internet! Overall I would stay here if you need a cheap location!
“not impressed”
First the hotel staff was in the middle of heavy conversation when I walked up to check in. They took their time in acknowledging my presence. This hotel does not have a pool as advertised on their website and expedia site which was a key amenity in why I chose this hotel. The tub faucet dripped water contantly. The pillows were old and we woke up with a sore neck. Parking@ 18$ a day was more then the advertise cost of 16$ I know its only 2$ but still surprised by it. The hotel room did have a nice and big TV. Would not choose this hotel again!!
“Not a good place to stay if you like your sleep”
The hotel is right in front of a main road. The first night I was on 5th floor and I could not sleep through the night and at 5 am, car horns literally woke me up. The next night, they transferred me to the 11th floor. However, I still could not sleep throughout the night because they had a party going on in the room across the hall. I complained twice and nothing was done to resolve the issue. In fact, the manager told me that I should have kept calling at night whenever I got disturbed and it is my fault. This gives me an uncomfortable feeling knowing that management doesn't know what is going on in their own hotel. I would never stay in Marriott Courtyard again. I stayed there because I am a student and they had a good rate compared to the other hotels in the vicinity. Had I known these issues, I would have opted for a better hotel.
“very nice”
I was extremely disappointed that the hotel pool was out of service which was the primary reason we selected this hotel!
“Economical Crystal City Location”
Great hotel and location. Clean and close to Crystal City. The smell of cleaning agent may be overpowering when you enter the lobby but everything else is great.
“Noise problem not the fault of the hotel.”
There was a noisy family with children slamming doors and running up and down the hall on the 6th floor late at night. I called the front desk who sent security right away.
