“dulles”

We flew into DUlles and wanted to visit friends in the area for the day and go into Dc the following AM. Staff directed us to cab, bus, and metro. Very helpful.

“It's ok.”

I have stayed at Candlewood Suites (not this one) in the past with good success. However, we were very late arriving (2300) and the desk was closing. They happened to see us pull up, shoved the key and paperwork into my hand and said that they would see us "in the morning." We left at 0600 without seeing anybody - in fact the Saturday morning desk hours started at 1000. While the room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, I was disappointed in the treatment by a "business hotel" of Candlewood's stature.

“Not for DC visitors”

This hotel was at least a 20 minute drive to the nearest Metro station. Rooms are only cleaned once a week! If you need clean towels you must carry them to the front desk and wait for them to get you new ones. Rude front desk clerks. This is not a hotel for the casual family traveler.

Metro station is quite a drive from hotel.

“The Greatest Stay”

The Candlewood Suites in Herndon was the best stay I've ever had. The people were very friendly and eager to help with any problem I may have had. The room was amazing; it was like I had my own apartment. The room was furnished with everything I needed. I loved my stay, and I will be staying with Candlewood from now on. :)

“be aware”

- almost no front desk support - residents always 'hanging around' the lobby and outside - no maid service visable, room not cleaned - minimal, but acceptable accomodations

Traveller's tip
you save $ for what you get. Overall it can be worth it if you don't need much, but it is not a Courtyard or Residence Inn

“Candlewood suites at Herndon, VA”

Our stay was comfortable and relaxing at Candlewood suites. The small stove , refrigerator and microwave helped us having breakfast at hotel which was a good start to our long trip ahead. Would recommend to all fellow travellers. Only thing, it like 25 minutes from DC , so its a little far as compared to other options in Arlington.
