“Good value”
Good value for money, close to downtown DC (close to Metro). Decent gym, slightly old treadmills and a newer multi-exercise weight machine. Had an incident where another guest was assigned my room and opened the door on me... Biggest drawback is the breakfast. Only option is the pizza restaurant across the parking lot, slightly greasy and not much choice for breakfast.
“Good enough”
Nothing special but clean. I would use it again.
“Good Hotel”
Excellent hotel for the rate you pay
“Best Western”
Bath was dated and plumbing wouldnt stay a consistant pressure. Hard to adjust hot water for a shower.. Room was OK but dated. Left a floppy hat that could have been mailed and front desk refused to it. They said I had to get a Fed-X or UPS overnight pre-paid and delivered to them. They could have folded it up and mailed it for me in a brown envelope but refused. That really turned me off to any future stays there.
“Best hotel for the Marine Corps Marathon”
We stayed here for the Marine Corps marathon. The finish festival was literally at the end of this hotel's street! Also, it was only about a ten minute walk to the Rosslyn metro. Area was clean and quiet. Hotel staff were very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We went to Ballston to eat, not too much in this area. The Italian restaurant is half way decent too.
“Iwo Jima visit”
Very good value for DC/Arlington visit. Can walk to Iwo Jima memorial in five minutes and across bridge to DC in 20 mins without driving. Restaurants and grocery store close by. Upscale restaurants also close by. Car safely parked and rooms easy to get to from outside stairways. Beds and pillows comfortable. Not a fancy hotel. But, an excellent value considering some of the hotels nearby which are twice as expensive. On site restaurant was fine and reasonably priced.
“Marathon? No question...this is your hotel!”
Does the hotel have history? YES. Does the hotel have several decades under its belt? YES. Does that give it some cool character like a 47 year old guy? YES. At the end of the day, I am SO glad I chose this hotel to cap off my first marathon attempt. It was affordable and within a mile of the finish line. I was back to my room, showered, and enjoying a beer in the attached restaurant before 10% of riders had boarded the Metro to their hotels. The rooms have recently been upgraded with marble sinks, etc. but still have some historical feel to them. If you want the latest trend, this hotel isn't for you. If you want value and a friendly staff, well....here it is. Currently reserving for MCM 2012.
“Best Western Rosslyn Review”
They had no TV service for a handful of rooms. Front Desk had no clue and no interest in satisfying a Customer! They told another guest that they would give $10 off. wow. whoppie. Was there Saturday and planned to watch football games and and alas no TV. No reason to ever go back there nor would recommend it to anyone else
“good location”
goog location
“Cheap and a place to sleep”
this hotel was the cheapest in the area, with DC area, pricey hotels aren't worth it if you are visiting or sight-seeing; the hotel is been in operation a long time, has wear, but is clean and orderly. Only problem was a few ants that made their way into the room; but hey, a few ants is not a big deal for me, I "aint" stayin there forever.
