“Great Location, Friendly Staff”

My stay at the Grand City Hotel was just one night. I was very happpy with all aspects of my stay. The hotel is on one edge of the Kassel center city and convenient to transportation, the tourist office and the pedestrian shopping zone as well as all major sites of interest to the tourist. Hotel staff speaks English. Though I did not have breakfast at the hotel, the breakfast buffet was extensive in the food choices. I would stay at the Grand City Hotel again and certainly recommend it.

“liegt zentral, Innenstadt zu Fuß erreichbar in 5 min.”

ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, Zimmer sind jedoch für Familien OK.

“Das Hotel Hessenland hat sehr große Zimmer”

Das Hotel Hessenland hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es liegt direkt in der Innenstadt. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Hotelpersonal war immer freundlich. Bei den Ein- und Aus-Check-Zeiten war das Personal sehr kulant. Wir könnten früher anreisen und bis ca. eine Stunde später aus-checken. Kleiner Wehmutstropfen: das Personal war teilweise abwesend und schwer zu finden.

Area recommendations
Herkules mit Wasserspielen ist sehr sehenswert. Vorsicht: Uhrzeit für die Wasserspiele checken.

“Grand City Hotel mit zentralster Lage”

Das Hotel wird wohl aus den 60-70 Jahren sein. Man sieht es in der Lobby oder Beispielsweise an den abgenutzten Barhockern. Hier müsste mal wieder renoviert werden. Im Zimmer fehlte die Minibar.

“Sehr zentral, gut angebunden”

Prima Hotel, für berufliche Aufenthalte gut geeignet, zentral gelegen, gut angebunden. Frühstück hatte ich nicht, kann ich daher nicht beurteilen. Freundlicher Service. Aus dem 50er-Jahre-Ambiente könnte man noch mehr machen...

“Super zentral”

Älteres Hotel im 50er Jahre Stil, kein moderner Schnickschnack aber für Kurzreisen völlig ausreichend. Super zentral gelegen, nur 50m von der Fußgängerzone. Sehr netter Service. Kinderfreundlich.

“Absolut zentral”

Absolut zentrale, aber trotzdem recht ruhige Lage in der Kasseler Innenstadt am Rande der Fußgängerzone. Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit Balkon. Kein hoteleigene Parkmöglichkeit, aber Langzeitparken zu moderaten Preisen in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hotels unproblematisch.

Schloss Wilhelmshöhe mit Herkulesdenkmal. Orangerie an der Fulda. Diverse Museen.

“Sehr empfehlenswert, beste Lage.”

Ich habe zweimal in dem Hotel übernachtet, jeweils fünf Tage. Beim zweiten Mal "kannte" man mich schon, was ganz nett war. Die Angestellten an der Rezeption waren durchweg freundlich, Gepäckaufbewahrung hat super geklappt. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, direkt an der Einkaufsstraße Kassels.Die Zimmer, die ich hatte waren okay, obwohl eine Art Couch nicht schlecht gewesen wäre. Die Beleuchtung ist leider absolut unzureichend für Arbeiten am Laptop/Lesen etc. Im Bad gab es jeweils nur Dusche, keine Badewanne. Das Hotel hat eine Nichtraucheretage im ersten Stock. Frühstück habe ich nicht genutzt, hätte zwölf Euro extra gekostet. Ein kleiner Balkon war in einem der Zimmer, die ich hatte vorhanden. Straßenlärm war auszuhalten.

Take exit "Stadtmitte / Auestadion" for Innenstadt / Rathaus and continue for one kilometre. Then turn right to Frankfurter Strasse, and continue to a hill called Weinberg. Follow the tramline and turn left at the next junction at the top of the hill (at cinema “Cineplex”). At the next junction turn left (on the left is the Restaurant "Eckstein") into "Obere Königsstrasse" and on the hotel is on the left.

Getting around:Central Kassel is best explored on foot, with complimentary bicycle hire available at the hotel to guests who wish to ride and venture further. The city is well served by public transport.
