"Hotel-Hotel great - pity about the Expedia booking"
Booked with Expedia a couple of months prior (promptly received receipt AND confirmation for pre payment from Expedia, within the hour) but the day before check in, when I called the hotel to confirm booking/room selection etc the hotel had NO RECORD of the Expedia booking!
Very concerning, as the hotel was fully booked.
Apparently there was a "system disconnection between Expedia and the Hotel that resulted in the reservation not being received by the hotel".
We did however get a room, thanks maybe to hotel cancellations, I'm not sure.
There's a lesson in this - check your booking well beforehand directly with the hotel, or book direct and give Expedia a miss.

Great location close to Dickson, clubs and buses into Civic. Very clean, new and in good condition. Helpful staff and a free upgrade to a lovely 1 bedroom apartment on my latest stay. Undercover parking a bonus too.
I really like this hotel and would happily stay again. Such a good location, it has a boutique feel, and has a lovely Italian restaurant downstairs.
Only small downside I noticed was the bathroom door (which had a magnet closing mechanism) was a bit noisy if you went in the middle of the night and were with a light sleeper.
But I loved the hotel and would stay again.
The only real issue we had, was because our son was sleeping we were not able to get our rooms made up at the time, we had asked reception to ensure it was done later that morning to come home inthe afternoon and not have the room made up. With children roaming the rooms we definetley needed it vacuumed each day.
We stayed over night and it was pretty good. The fire alarm did go off in the evening as we were arriving back from an evening out. We waited outside but while we could see the staff running back and forth. I think they handled it extremely well. . But everyone inside just came out of their rooms and stood on the balconies. So maybe the alarm system needs to have a voice command as well telling people to get out or stay.
I would give the staff a 5 but my mood has been soured a bit . I left my phone behind and it was just stuck in the housekeepers room and nothing done about it. No contact, husband phone ,email ,home phone nothing. After I tracked it down I rang and was given the cold shoulder and told to ring back the next day to see if it was in the housekeepers room. Rang early the next day. Same thing. Once I got onto the housekeeper she was very pleasant. But still if you have something important of someones. then contact them it is just good manners.
