“The most friendliest and helpful hotel I've ever stayed”
My husband and I had a most relaxing stay at this hotel. The service was excellent and all the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was very comfortable with lovely views of the gardens. We were not that far from the city centre a 20 minute walk or a short bus ride. The buses ran regularly and the bus stop was just a few yards away from the hotel. All in all a very relaxed break and I would definitely stay there again.
“Carole's Birthday - Marriott York”
Excellent hotel overlooking York racecourse; once the Reception staff discovered it was for a special birthday week-end they reserved a room with a balcony overlooking the course. Staff were efficient and helpful, room comfortable (especially the almost silent air conditioning!) and food delicious. A great place to stay to see York and the North Yorks countryside.
“Relaxing Weekend Break”
Hi just got back from a very relaxing break at the Marriot Hotel York. Lovely Hotel and surroundings. A very comfortable bed and bed linen. Breakfast was good too. Staff were very very hard working and made you feel welcome. Even though the hotel was extremley busy there was more than enough car park spaces. Public transport across the road from the hotel to go into the city centre. We will of course go back on our next visit to York.

We found the hotel welcoming and relaxing. This hotel was by far the best hotel we have stayed at. If we return to York in the future we will not hesitate to book this hotel.
“A very nice short break”
Very friendly staff. Evening meal was good but expensive. A good breakfast choice with food well cooked. There was plenty of parking and a regular bus service in to York close by. There were a lot of young children in the hotel more than likely due to Easter.
“Leisure weekend”
Having booked a 2 night stay for myself and 3 friends to celebrate my birthday and I can only say we had a wonderful time and didn't want to go out of the hotel. The only slight nit pick was the size of portions in the restaurant but the food was lovely. The beds weer the best I've ever slept in and all the staff couldn't have been nicer. It was the best weekend away ever. The Select beauty therapists were also marvellous and helpful

Lovely room, fabulous pool with fresh fruit at the pool. Great breakfast before exploring the City. wonderful views of the York racecourse as you eat your breakfast.

he reception was on the ball(so to speak) very polite and very helpful with the local information that we required (bus times into city) I have no problem staying at this hotel in the future
“Lovely location ,lots to do ,”
Lovely hotel, huge room with comfy pillows AND air conditioning. Bus to York passes the drive and takes about 10 mins.Loads of free parking at the hotel so worth taking the bus in as its hassle free Enjoyed a swim after a long day sightseeing and shopping. Overall a great wee break....
“Will use this hotel again.”
I booked a double room for one night. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. I did not use many of the services but I was happy with the ones that I did. I would use the hotel again.
