Cleanest B&B we have stopped in.

Posted 14-Sep-2014
Pros: Clean on the outside and the inside never disappointed either. Plenty of variety at the Breakfast table too.
Location: Quite simply one street from the Front, fish & chip shops,Caf├ęs, Quayside etc. Steep walk to the Castle but worth it. Whitby is a must do.
From the minute we arrived to when we left,Trevor and Alison could not do enough for you. Always spoke to you when leaving or entering. They advised us on the local nightlife and local activities. They have plenty of leaflets for surrounding days out - spoilt for choice. 4 days was never long enough. Trevor also sorted us out with the parking as you get scratch cards and these are for the streets behind the B&B.

The Palace Hill Hotel- a well kept Guest House !

Posted 25-Jul-2014
Pros: The Palace Hill is small and friendly. I slept really well, the mattress was comfy! Food was excellent too.
Location: Close to the sea front, so next to all the amenities- beach, restaurants and pubs!
I arrived in Scarborough quite late not sure exactly where the Palace Hill was. I rang them and the owner directed me the last few metres.[I was actually parked a few doors down on the same street-Eastborough Road.] The hotel is just off the sea front so I went for an evening stroll after I had checked in. I was in the attic room right at the top! The room itself was clean and comfortable. It was a warm night but there was a fan in the room which kept me cool. The following morning I had a lovely cooked full English breakfast. Breakfast room was well set out, clean and bright. On arriving I was told I needed to park round the back of the hotel and was given a disc zone card. However I couldn't find any spaces available so ended up parking the car in front of the hotel over night. I had to move it before 9 o'clock in the morning due to parking restrictions.

Good location handy for beach and shops

Posted 01-Jul-2014
wife and I fancied a short break and found this wee hotel just perfect. Handy for all facilities, shops beach buses and railway station. Hosts were brilliant and the brekkie first class. We had room no1 on the ground floor and it was more than adequate, and very clean, for our short stay.we parked up for the first two days and managed to get our space back on the third day once the day trippers had gone home. Trev recommended some good restaurants and the Chinese was really good. Would definitely stay hear again although found Scarborough a little tired lookin since our last visit.

This was just right for our short break, excellent location with easy access to the beach and a short walk to the castle. The rooms were comfortable, clean and were spruced up each day we were there. Breakfasts were very tasty and our hosts were happy to let us pick and choose our breakfast items. Our hosts were happy to advise us on any aspect of our stay in Scarborough, including a recommendation for a nearby chippy!

nice clean hotel friendly owners

Posted 11-Oct-2013
Pros: nice and clean, good food friendly owners
Cons: not a thing as far as I am concerned
Location: very close to the seafront with all its arcades, restaurants, theatre and bars. the beach was there, with its donkeys and also had very good weather
The hotel situated about a 100 yards from seafront. very clean, very friendly owners who very kindely changed our room when they saw I was disabled, which I had not told them when I booked. The breakfast was very good, on the table very quickly, well cooked. unfortunately we had to cut short our holiday due to unforseen commitments at home. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any of our friends.

Great Stay

Nice hotel and very good service. Full English breakfast excellent, and I think I am an expert on this matter. I would stay again when in this area. One downside for me was the checkout time 10-30, felt a bit rushed out knock at the door 10-28 reminding me of the checkout time. 11am would be an idea. 9/10
