“Good base to see York”
Excellent Location, Room was clean and functional. Bed was comfortable, all the essentials that you expect in a hotel room. Bathroom was small, however, and shower was a bit feeble. Breakfast was very good, but it took ages to get seated on the saturday because all the staff were attending to a conference. A bit ridiculous for a buffet! In summary, the location sold it, as it was a 10 minute walk from Yorkminster. Breakfast is worth getting. Just don't expect it to be 5 star luxury
“Great hotel, would recommend”
Very nice, modern hotel. We had a newly refurbished room on the 5th floor, overlooking the city. The bed and shower were lovely, with a new 26" TV. Other reviews mentioned the noise of people leaving the pubs, but this was minimal around midnight and should not put anyone off. Our deal did not include breakfast, but for the comfort, i would choose this hotel over the budget chains. Great location just across the river, easy access to all attractions. Yates is opposite the hotel and does good value breakfasts from 9am.
“York`s Little Gem”
Great city for a short break.
“Park Inn, York”
Fantastic hotel with a fantastic location. I stayed for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) and my only fault with the hotel would be the comfort of the bed. Mattress was beyond soft resulting in a poor nights sleep. The Air Con was a fantastic perk (I actually searched for hotels with a/c as I knew it would be a hot weekend!) as it was a very stuffy weekend. Room was simple but had everything you could need. Lovely view over the river, and a nice balcony to get some fresh air which was a suprise! Loads of restaurants close by, and plenty of bars. Double glazing on the patio doors meant that this didn't cause an issue in the early hours. Shower and bathroom was very good to look at but water pressure was questionable... And I considered the price of parking (£14 a day) to be a little high for my liking. I like to stay in new hotels regardless of how many times I've visited, but due to the location of this hotel, I would consider staying again.
“Only one problem”
The only problem we could say about our stay was the lift. There was only one working and it didn;t seem to like travelling up to the 7th floor. We spent up to 7 minutes on occassions waiting for the lift. We did attempt the stair once, but 7 floors is a long way. Other than that the hotel was superb.
“Great location”
Pretty happy with the hotel
“Great value”
Park Inn is ideally situated within the city walls. It is a little tired but is generally clean and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming. The breakfast buffet was fine. Parking is no problem if a little tight. Overall, great value.
“Good central hotel”
Good points: Excellent location, nice room , good service, good choices for breakfast Bad Points: No spaces in car park. very tight in getting round. Don't go to bed before midnight as music from parties below is very loud.
“Central and luxurious”
Great stay. Very friendly and convenient. Difficult to fault at all.Would definitely return.
“Good Hotel.In City Centre”
clean & tidy hotel, staff seemed friendly & attentive.we had a room looking onto river ouse which was great.well placed for shopping & bars + eating, only grumble with hotel room was the poor shower which was't fast enough water trickled out. all in all would recommend
