Basic and cheap hotel, wonderful views

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: The location near the beaches and the Castle
Cons: Maybe some yoghurt at breakfast?
Location: Two beaches, the wonderful Scarborough castle, Scarborough shopping streets, South beach attractions and the Royal ( The Red Court)
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was small but beautiful and tidy. Lovely seaside just in front of the hotel! Modest but low-cost. Full English breakfast was certainly massive, but actually the only choice except for serials. But we liked, thank you!

Nice, clean hotel, nice breakfast

Posted 24-Jun-2014
Pros: I chose the hotel for the view, although room allocated was to the rear of the property, with view onto the next street. The B&B was clean and tidy.
Location: The location was ideal and although plenty to do nearby, we were visiting the Regatta in Filey and chose closest B&B.
Would have preferred sea view, which is why I chose the B&B, being up on the hill. The proprietor was very welcoming, friendly and chatty and would definately return to the B&B.

Amazing sea views

Posted 17-Jun-2014
Pros: The view, price, breakfast and location
Cons: Larger bed
Location: Right on the North Bay
Really nice little seaside B&B. The sea view was literally to die for!! Breakfast was good, room was spotless and bright. Got parked right outside so no problems there. Only downside was the bed was a very small double so if you like to spread out you can't! But really for the money and the view it was worth it. Would definitely reccommend.

Fantastic weekend away

Posted 16-Apr-2014
We stayed at the guest house for three nights with our little girl. Joanne, the owner was absolutely fantastic, really friendly. Ryan, her little boy was adorable and soon became a firm favourite with our daughter. Each morning we had a cooked breakfast, which set us up nicely for our busy days. We can't wait to go back again, we are already planning our next trip!

Lovely little weekend away with my boyfriend

Posted 11-Feb-2014
Location: A nice walk up to the castle as there is a lovely view from the top!
The hotel is reasonably priced and in a good location. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. The hostess gave a warm welcoming and was polite and helpful throughout our stay. I needed to speak to the hostess to borrow a hair dryer and all i had to do was press a buzzer which was downstairs and she appeared in seconds to help me with my request. The guest house has a modern interior and was perfect for us as we are a young couple. The room itself was clean, in good condition and got warm really quick due to the heater which was great because we visited in February and it was extremely cold. We couldn't get connected to the WiFi yet this was not a problem because it stopped us ignoring each other all weekend. Also the breakfast was really nice. We only stayed for one night which was good because the rooms were slightly small, this wasn't an issue for us at all this weekend as they were small and cosy and perfect for a short stay. I just personally like a lot of space so for me i wouldn't chose the Miricia guest house for a long stay. However I was impressed with the guest house and i would defiantly stop her again with my boyfriend if we were to go to Scarborough for another short break. Over all we had a great weekend thanks to the Miricia Guest House and I would defiantly recommend this guest house to my family and friends.
