Kimberley Hotel, Scarborough

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: The way all the little things had been thought about. Really spotless hotel. Much care and thought has been taken to get it just right.
Cons: Personally I don't think anything needs to be.
Location: It was a little walk to get to the centre and main front. There is everything once you get there. Arcades, mini golf, bungees, trams, shops, eateries
The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated throughout. The owner was very helpful and pleasant and she did all the work including separate breakfasts on her own and did it fantastically. The breakfast was so lovely and filling and made to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was a little tight to move in but was again beautifully decorated with a stunning view of the beach and castle. Room for parking at the front of the hotel too. Facilities at the hotel included a bar, all you needed for a stay was provided in your room and if it wasn't in there all you needed to do was ask. My daughter, my parents and myself would certainly rate this hotel and return in the future.

Warm and friendly staff great location

We arrived at 7pm checking on could not have been easier. The off street parking I'd awkward but there are free permits for road parking too. The owners were very pleasant and we were made to feel welcome. The breakfast was lovely and our room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stop again

Base for visiting

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Ian and Maria were lovely people, hospitable and the breakfasts were excellent and with plenty of choice
Cons: The decor is a little tired but clean
We used the hotel as a base for walking and visiting towns not seen for many years. It was close to the sea local walks and towns and had sufficient choice for evening meals etc. The room was compact but adequate.

Nice hotel in good position.

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Position of hotel, everything in walking distance, but on quieter side of Scarborough. No problems parking. Good sea view.
Cons: Bathrooms could be better, and maybe a dressing table as nowhere to put things down on.
Location: Close to Peasholm park and open air theatre. Near beach. Not far to walk into town with shops, bars and restaurants etc.
Hotel was situated in good place for sea front and town, within easy walking distance. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean, with great sea view, and we had everything we needed. Parking, or parking permit was a bonus, as was a bar. Breakfast was one of best we've had. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Wouldn't expect any more for money.

Great little B&B

Posted 15-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
I booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay in Scarborough for my husband, myself and friends. The week before we were due to arrive I received an email confirming our booking. Which I thought was good. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted and told where our room was. We had room 6 which was on 2nd floor but had a lovely sea view. The room was small but adequate for our needs. The car park had CCTV which we liked as we had gone on motorbikes. Breakfast was ok. Just the usual English brekkie but would've preferred fresh mushrooms. It wasn't piping hot but edible. We will probably stay again it was one of the better places we have stayed at in Scarborough.

Great location and friendly service

Posted 08-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at the hotel for one night in April for an overnight trip in Scarborough. Arrived at the hotel at 10am as we were wanting to park up the car and were pleased to find out our room was ready. We had a family room on the 1st floor with lovely views out to the sea. Everything we needed in the room and very clean. Hotel is in a great location and the Sea Life Centre is about a 15 minute walk along the coast. Bus stop close by too, plenty of shops etc within walking distance. Breakfast in the morning was great also. Definitely recommend the hotel and will stay here again if we are in Scarborough again. Only one minor thing was it was rather hot, especially in the breakfast room. Other than that, we had the perfect stay. Thanks!

Excellent Service

Posted 01-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
Overall we had a very satisfactory stay. We were in a room overlooking the Sea, which was clean and tidy but a bit on the small size. We stayed over a single night so the room size didn't impact on us too much but I wouldn't fancy staying for a number of nights - would get too feel a little claustrophobic. On the up side the welcome was very warm and friendly and the service was excellent. Breakfast choice is very flexible with you being able to mix and match menu options and quality of the food was good.
