Perfectly placed to explore the surrounding area.

Location: Lovely location, overlooking the North Bay, near the park and small railway, not far down into town. Half an hour to Robin Hoods Bay/ Whitby...
A welcoming and friendly B&B, steep steps if you are a bit frail, but they built them all like that way back when.... We had a smashing few days, nice breakfasts, comfy beds, spotless, very helpful landlady. Would recommend and certainly stay again....... 210 miles from Norwich - only drawback!

A room with a view

Posted 02-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
It is a pretty decent B&B, we had sea view room. Marie is a fantastic host, She and Ian manage the whole property its amazing how everything is looked after so well. Being a vegetarian, i had a good option at the breakfast table. Overall very satisfactory stay!! Just a thing if Wi-fi could have coverage till top floor, i am a lazy bug to come out of my bed.

Nice weekend break

Posted 01-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
The welcome and the service was excellent, and the hotel was very clean and clearly well maintained. The only downside was the hotel is a little dated and could do with updating. But overall we had a great stay and would come back.

Very friendly welcome

Lovely stay with our grandson. Made very welcome by Marie. Hotel with lovely sea views, not far to walk into town and very near to sea front bus service. Breakfast very good with wide selection to choose from if full English not required. Would definitely stay again if staying in Scarborough.

Kimberley Hotel, Scarborough

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: The way all the little things had been thought about. Really spotless hotel. Much care and thought has been taken to get it just right.
Cons: Personally I don't think anything needs to be.
Location: It was a little walk to get to the centre and main front. There is everything once you get there. Arcades, mini golf, bungees, trams, shops, eateries
The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated throughout. The owner was very helpful and pleasant and she did all the work including separate breakfasts on her own and did it fantastically. The breakfast was so lovely and filling and made to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was a little tight to move in but was again beautifully decorated with a stunning view of the beach and castle. Room for parking at the front of the hotel too. Facilities at the hotel included a bar, all you needed for a stay was provided in your room and if it wasn't in there all you needed to do was ask. My daughter, my parents and myself would certainly rate this hotel and return in the future.

Warm and friendly staff great location

Posted 11-Aug-2014
We arrived at 7pm checking on could not have been easier. The off street parking I'd awkward but there are free permits for road parking too. The owners were very pleasant and we were made to feel welcome. The breakfast was lovely and our room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stop again

Very Good

Marie was a very welcoming host, the B&B was clean and well located. Only slight drawback was the narrow stairwells which made taking your case up to your room a little bit difficult.

Base for visiting

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Ian and Maria were lovely people, hospitable and the breakfasts were excellent and with plenty of choice
Cons: The decor is a little tired but clean
We used the hotel as a base for walking and visiting towns not seen for many years. It was close to the sea local walks and towns and had sufficient choice for evening meals etc. The room was compact but adequate.

Ein liebevolles Hotel in Strandnähe

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Die Freundlichkeit.
; "Innenstadt" zehn min.). Alles in allem ein sehr entspannter erholsamer Urlaub.

Nice hotel in good position.

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Position of hotel, everything in walking distance, but on quieter side of Scarborough. No problems parking. Good sea view.
Cons: Bathrooms could be better, and maybe a dressing table as nowhere to put things down on.
Location: Close to Peasholm park and open air theatre. Near beach. Not far to walk into town with shops, bars and restaurants etc.
Hotel was situated in good place for sea front and town, within easy walking distance. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean, with great sea view, and we had everything we needed. Parking, or parking permit was a bonus, as was a bar. Breakfast was one of best we've had. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Wouldn't expect any more for money.
