Thoroughly recommended for its beautiful location, room and hospitality. We had limited time here and appreciated the fact that we could take a nice walk through the woods which led to magnificent scenery of the moors. We needed to get to York the day after and all the nearest B&B's were booked out- but we are so lucky to have found this gem. The décor is tasteful and the room was toasty warm. The pub is a stone's throw away serving excellent food and the breakfast here was delicious. We will definitely be returning. the owners are very warm and let you get on with it but are always there for you if you need any help. Thank you for a great stay!

Fantastic staff...first and foremost! Having noted it was a dog friendly hotel, I didn't think to check that every room was dog friendly and merely booked a room. Upon arrival, and having been advised that only certain rooms were dog friendly, the staff were brilliant and were able to sort a room so that it was dog friendly. Very much appreciated! The accommodation is also very good, and the inclusive breakfast perfect! As for location, exactly what I wanted...country yet links to local towns and the coast.

We were going to see our Guide Dog in training at Wetherby, we also had a young guide with us.
They were very helpful allowing her to stay with us while we had our meals which is an important part of their training.
Our room was lovely with a king size bed and plenty of room for the dog, there was also a large grass area which we could use to let the dog relieve herself, of course we always clean up after her so no problem there.
There was also a gate leading onto a path so you could walk along the stream.
We had a very pleasant stay and will use them again if we are down that way.

We arrived quite late but had a lovely welcome, and felt that nothing was trouble. The food was delicious and the location is excellent, easy to get to and with great access to the dales. I was visiting for a wedding but I would definitely go again and this is a brilliant value place to stay.

I chose this hotel as I fancied a change from the B&B's I usually stop in when in the area. What a great choice that was the Staff were really nice and very helpful, the room was very clean and well furnished the food in the Bar area was really good. Wifi was fast as I had work to do. The TV had movies available to watch as this was a smart TV.

The Guest House looked small from the outside, however inside it like a tardis! The proprietors are welcoming and friendly. My room was very comfortable, everything I could need was provided and it was so very clean, especially the en-suite.
Breakfast was delicious and nothing seemed too much trouble for Janette and John.
All in all it was like staying with friends!!

Stayed here at Rockwood House B&B for one night on our way back from Scotland. This place is located in the lovely village of Embsay, just out of Skipton. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very nice.
Would have been nice to have had a hot chocolate with breakfast as I don't drink tea or coffee.
We had a ground floor room which made it easy to carry our luggage. The parking was free (in the carpark on the opposite side of the street). Our hosts were friendly and courteous.
The pub, Elm Tree, just down the road was very handy for drinks and a hearty supper. Would happily stay here again to explore this lovely countryside.
