Perfect location

Room was in the basement with no window so dont book no view, bog standard but had a broken shower head and a bathroom light out. Cleaner didnt clean or change towels, just plonked a box of drinks sachets on the table.

The entertainment wasn't on long enough and the queues for the bar and for breakfast were ridicules so I would say it was poor

Valentine break

Stayed for one night in the room without a view, room spacious and clean, can image these get really hot in the summer, mattress hard not soft, towels were the size of tea towels, breakfast was ok. Nice to have proper orange juice not watered down as some hotels do. Bar prices can be expensive. Parking a nightmare, just go straight to the Palm Court car parking, £10 for 24 hours. The Grand is quite central to the shops, bars and eating out.

Good location, bad hotel

When we arrived after a two hour journey. There was no hot water.the room was freezing .no radiator on.i went to see someone at reception. To be told that.there was a problem with the boiler and they might get it working the following day.which they did.when i asked about heating i was told they come on automatically and wouldn't until 5pm. Bearing in mind this is 23rd January.our room was in the basement with no windows. Spend more money and go to a different hotel!!!

Pros: Location, near by parking,. Also close to the train station if you arriving by rail.
Cons: Yes a little tired but you get what you pay for
Location: Good location overlooking the beach.
This is not a five star hotel which some people forget when leaving their comments. The hotel is clean and staff friendly. It is in a good location and I would say value for money if you are looking to get away for a couple of days. We will definitely revisit some time in the future. Sue

Handy for amenities

The hotel is good for the central amenities& south beach &esplanade access. The room I had was spacious with en suite. The courtesy tray was lacking & would have been more tempting with a variety of biscuits. The room was okay for what I req'd for work but not if I was on holiday, but saying that there are better more expensive rooms.

Pros: The stairs,the breakfast.
Cons: LOTS
Location: Good shopping
Dissapointment all round,tiny room with a tiny window looking out to across the road to scaffolding on the hote lacross the road..Bingo was the main prioriy and entertainment was on too late.Parking and paying for it was way out of order if you moved from your spot,if you where lucky to find one,would be taken almost immediately by other drivers trying to find a space themselves.We where that disappointed we left two days early.Do I get a refund,i doubt it.
