the hotel met all the needs for my overnight trip, was close to were I needed to be, excellent public transport links to the centre of Glasgow and a 24 hour taxi rank outside which was prefect for an early morning return flight.
Check in was at 2pm but when arrived shortly after 8am my room was ready, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the them.
Hotel was little changed from our last visit. Staff had changed and some seemed to speak little English so difficult at times to communicate. Continental breakfast seemed a little less generous that previously and suspect a little bit of a money saving exercise. Room small but clean and reasonably furnished.
Booked this hotel as a place to crash after a night out with mates and it did just the job we were looking for. We weren't looking for anything spectacular, just somewhere half decent. The place looks a little dated and could do with a bit of a refurb but let's face it, if you were wanting something more substantial then you would be looking to pay a lot more. Staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly (gave us the choice of two different rooms and then gave us another chair in the room we picked).
