OMG.. fantastic
Stayed here 30 and 15 years ago and I recall being happy with the hotel. Since then it’s been very recently refurbished. OMG! What a transformation. It’s absolutely lovely. We stayed in a suite and it was stunning. The bed, duvet and pillows were the best I’ve slept in…. Ever slept in. Our evening meal, live cooking buffet was very special, and brought to life by our waiter Jim. The breakfast the following day will stay with me forever, never have I experienced such choice. If you’re looking to stay in Venlo then I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Book a suite, dinner and breakfast, you’ll not regret it.

Good Business Hotel
Good business hotel, conveniently located off of the highway. Not a hotel that you can walk to many places from. However, there is a restaurant and bar in the hotel, the room was very clean and the internet was great. The front desk staff were all very pleasant.

The hotel is very well kept and looked very modern. The owners have spent money on the hotel furniture and the extra such as Art, with good selection of 3D artwork. I would stay again. The employees were friendly and helpful.

The place to stay in Venlo
The Comfort room at Van Der Valk Venlo is where you want to book your stay in the area: neatly finished, shower and bathtub, comfortable bed for a good night of sleep, and lots of amenities including HD cable TV and a capacious safe to store your valuable goods. Great breakfast buffet, too. It would have been perfect if the mini-fridge worked (did not cool down our beverages) but this was the first time we hit a defective unit out of many stay we had in this excellent hotel.

Very cold hotel
The hotel doesn’t try to understand guest situation when it comes to flight delay/cancellation, even though my supplier has long-term cooperation with them. The hotel is quite cold.

Overnight stop over
Just a one night stop over on way through from Germany back to the UK. Reception and dining was fantastic and couldn’t ask for better service. Rooms basic and tired (think I was in the older part) and bed not particularly comfortable. Would however stay again

Hotel ok as always but I had a room opposite lift and I could not sleep well after long driving because costumers were making a lot of noise on the corridor till 1am!I could hear as well cars on the motorway all night long so i did not really took a rest before another 12 hours drive!

Comfortable hotel with an excellent restaurant but the room decor is a bit dated and in need of renovations. I did hear that BIG plans are in the works to upgrade this hotel.
