"Great hotel with beautiful views of the sea"
We booked as a last minute hotel as most of the hotels were already booked. Stayed with a family one night at the weekend in May 14. And I can say it was a bit pricey but worth the stay. The hotel is literally the last building in town. So it's a very quiet area. It sits on the cliff side and it's got a beautiful view in to the sea with a bit of Newquay scenery. Inside there is a spa centre and an indoor swimming pools for adults and the little ones, steam room. All the surrounding s looked really clean and looked after. There's plenty of things to do for little ones. Unfortunately we weren't able to explore all of it due to late check in and a very early check out. I think it's a downside to have to check out at 10.30am. The rooms were really spacious! We stayed in the family room. We could have had another 3 kids or two adults able to spend the night with extra beds we had in the room. Breakfast was great with lots of food to choose from. There is a restaurant at the hotel but we were not able to have the evening meal there as we arrived just before 9 pm which was too late to order any meals. I guess it's a downside that the food orders are taken only to 8.45 pm. Especially if you arrive from quite far away and check in late it would be nice to have a meal at your hotel and you wouldn't have to think where in town to find a place to have dinner. Other than that it I can strongly recommend this hotel especially if you are planning to stay there with little ones.

"Relaxing and friendly hotel"
I loved this hotel. My room which I had booked as a single, was a twin room with the most stunning view over the sea. It was a very cold day yet my room was like a hot house - fantastic! As for the staff, they were so helpful, nothing was too much for them. The receptionists were wonderful, warm, friendly and welcoming. Honestly, I cannot rate it high enough. Oh yes, had dinner in the restaurant, very tasty!

"Great hotel close to beach and town."
The view from our suite (which we were upgraded to)was fabulous, and the suite was outstanding! Breakfast was excellent, with staff being most helpful , particularly the chef. We ate the hotel bistro on three evenings, finding the food very good, but drinks a bit costly. Indoor and outdoor pools good for this country, but quite small. Through no fault of hotel, pigeons kept landing on balcony rail, and occasionally the table! This is the only thing we hated. Despite the pigeons, we would definately go again, and recommend it, to everyone. Quite costly, but worth it.

Pocket Guide: North Cornish Coast, Cornwall Business Hotels

The county’s most rugged scenery and best beaches - Porthtowan, St Agnes, Perranporth, Polzeath, Newquay - are to be found here along with world-class surfing at Newquay. The latter is the most commercialised resort, with family attractions and a throbbing nightlife. The pretty fishing village of Padstow is the fashionable foodie capital of the region, while the spectacular Tintagel Castle ruins wrap themselves in the legend of King Arthur.
