I am 6 months pregnant and my husband and I enjoyed the most fantastic week here. We rented a water villa, and went with full board options (hubby went for all inclusive package). Of course dont forget everything is taxed so a beer at 5usd is taxed by the government & the hotel. I think it would be much more expensive and worrisome to do the a la carte. The food was very varied, and things like the food not being hot from the buffet might annoy some people.
Honestly the service and care from all staff was fantastic, from the hostesses arranging excursions, to the Dive master Andre, to them arranging a buggy to pick us up and drop us off during the day as it is quite a walk for me in the heat.
Our water villa was massive, the only downside is the AC is not powerful enough & is only in the bedroom, so we spent a lot of time lying on our bed, in the cool overlooking the sea, which really is not so bad! it encouraged us to not turn the telly on in the lounge!
I think the snorkeling was exceptional, and this is important as we spent at least a few hours each day in the sea, you dont have to travel to another island to see eceptional sea life, and i have dived all over the world.
Remember that getting here from male is a sea plane trip of 25 mins and around 500usd pp return, which the hotel arranges for you.
If you are looking for privacy(beach villas have own beach & spa bath) & absolute perfection go to Nika.you will never forget the memories you make in this slice of heaven
very organized resort, full of amenities. Food was good. They have 2 bars. Staff is very helpful. The water is clear and there is always a shark near the sand to look at every morning. Great place for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Tropical beach resort composed of bamboo and palm-thatch buildings, occupying a tiny island located on the North Ari Atoll …More
Our host Laura said we are very happy couple once we've landed in the smallest airport in the world GGH despite we had spent ourselves in a long flight. And she new what she say because we got the maximum room upgrade we've ever had. Overwater deluxe villa! Woo-hoo. Thank you guys. You made our vacation.
Meal plan. We stayed on breakfasts because it's good way to be more free in choosing the meals and time you prefer. Great room service on lunches, perfect overwater a la-carte restaurant for dinners made it's deal and we spent less than it could be on full-board plan. But lunches and dinners in the main restaurant were also flawless (we took it to try for the first day).
Excursions. Enough memories for the whole life. Dolfins, whale sharks, turtles, rays who you'll never forget.
Snorkeling. It's unforgettable there and reachable directly from the beach. Aboundance of sea species affects. I saw huge ray near the Villa (approx. 2m in diameter) who was peacefully relaxing on the ocean floor.
The hotel was great. Staff was extremely friendly, and everything was beautiful. The organisation regarding sea plane was amazing, and made us feel safe with all the expenses. The tours were a great option to get away from the hotel and all the joints there were entertainment like bingo, crab race or just a beach party. That actually made all the experience unique. Also if u want to go, I advice the All inclusive package. Not all the drinks are inclusive, but the ones that are, are enough and the draft beer tastes good. I define let recommend. Our waiter, Adam, was so nice and took care of us. BTW, you have Ur own table so everyday u eat at the same spot. The buffet is good, every night something different, so no need to stress. In general it was the perfect choice!
Ukulhas Inn is a standard hotel on a local island. The rooms are simple but spacious and the breakfast is delicious (try the local options). The staff are helpful in arranging trips and the ferry ride over to the island. If you want a budget trip, it's a good option. It's a very quiet island but the beach is nice and you can wear a bikini and swim. They can arrange a variety of activities and a dive shop will open on the island soon. At the moment, diving is possible but expensive as it's run from the neighbouring island. Restaurants on the island are limited, so lunches and dinners are pretty basic.
Although a popular tourism region, North Ari Atoll is certainly not overly developed. Dive operations are run by all resorts, with some catering particularly to the advanced diver. To the north east is Rasdhoo Island with its Buddhist heritage, quaint village, and deep sea medical centre. Hammerhead sharks may often be seen offshore on the outer reef. “Fish Head”, one of the world’s most famous dive sites, is located further south.
