“Worst hotel ever - NEVER ho here”

Customer service was horrible. Beds were rocks. Rooms smelled bad were small and ugly. Hotel looked like a small blue tred in the middle of nice condos. It was horrible and I would rather sleep in my vechicle than ever stay there again.

“alright to stay as it is near the private beach with company but too far from virginia beach”

I had requested for hotel in virginia beach not the hotel near chesapeak bay beach. I found out that shore drive hotel was over 10 miles away from virginia beach. I was not familiar with the area beffore, thanks anyway.

“I would stay again if I booked a quick trip”

Its like 10 minutes from VA beach and the boardwalk but the other side of the beach is write in the back of this hotel. Its more private then going to the beach other side. But there is a bar next door.

“THE WORST EVER!!”

I would bot recommend this hotel to anyone. It is not worth it! The hotel was NASTY! And I was not comfortable sleeping in the room at all!

“An "ok" hotel in a "great area"”

My experience at Travelodge Bay Beach was ok. The hotel is a little worn, but it was good considering the price we paid. I would recommend that you bring a can of Lysol if you're the type of person that is very picky. I was surprised that the room did not have an iron (so bring your own unless you want to steam your clothes in the bathroom). The room attendant was very nice. Also, there is a great little Japanese restaurant, Sakura, located down the street and a bar next door if you like to drink. Overall, the hotel is in a great location and was pretty good considering the cost of our stay.

“We recommend this hotel”

Very clean. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Only problem was Internet was down most of our stay.

“Basic Motel”

The Travelodge was an acceptable motel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The price was right. But the person who checked us in was not particularly welcoming and some of the details of the bathroom need to be addressed. We've never seem caulking around a tub and toilet done in such a sloppy manor before.

“Good location, pathetic accommodation”

A lot of money for a third-rate motel but the location is good for those who don't need to be in the middle of the action. The place is on the bay, not on the ocean, but the beach itself (a short walk down the street) is very nice though it doesn't have the bigger waves of the ocean. The ocean is a ten-minute drive away. The big problem is that the place has the feel of a cheap motel and the rooms stink because the carpeting is old and smoke-soaked. Not a place to take a romantic interest in order to make a positive impression. It's an over-priced dive, and you won't want to spend any time there except for sleeping (and then you need to run the AC all night to help alleviate the stink from the carpeting). Hair dryer didn't work and office clerk couldn't do anything about it until the maintenance guy arrived. General manager is clueless and hardly ever there.
