“It was alright for the price - but I probably wouldn't stay again”

Positives: The service was excellent, the location was too. The lobby was amazing - and for the price in October that included free garage parking, continental breakfast and an indoor heated pool - you really can't beat this deal. BUT, the main problem with this hotel is when we got to our floor, the hallway was filthy, our room was not much better. The bathroom was very tiny and there was a man-door leading out to the balcony rather than a sliding glass door which took away from the view. The mattress was not very comfortable and the pillows were the worst I'd ever slept on. Overall, the hotel was alright, but I probably wouldn't stay again.

“We'll be back”

Awesome location. Loved being able to walk straight out to the beach. I was looking for a clean hotel right on the beach and found it here. If you are looking for a spacious room, this isn't it. But I didn't go to the beach to get a huge room with lots of space. The room was perfectly clean with no odors. We were only there for three days so we hung out the do not disturb sign. As we were leaving to go out the second morning the housekeepers were in the hall and asked if we needed anything and then promptly brought us some clean towels. After we checked out we were allowed to leave our car in the garage while we spent the day at the beach. Loved watching the dolphins off the beach in the early morning. There was approximately 5 miles of beach to walk according to my father-in-law. He spent the time we were there walking up and down the beach. There is also a pier nearby that you could pay to go out on to fish.

The hotel staff were very friendly. This hotel was in a great location and had a private balcony. We asked about staying a few extra hours in the parking garage after check out and the staff was very accomodating. The price was very good considering the other beach front hotels were at least $100 more per night. I'd stay again. Room and bathroom area looked recently renovated.

This Hotel served it's purpose for my mini vacation. Everything was on point. Nothing was below standards. My room had everything I needed for my stay. They had everything advertised and was on point. If your the over critical type of commentator, than you need to have a reality check. It's not a 5star, but it sure was worth the price I paid. They met my expectations and I'm very satisfied. Read the reviews if you want, nothing is perfect in life but be realistic and have an open mind when travelling. I would go back again.......

“Great place to stay”

Overall I was very satisified with the Surfside Oceanfront Inn. It is in a great location and reasonably priced. The room is kind of small but very clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Will go back.

“Okay, but....”

Enjoyed that it was oceanfront, but the the room had 2 queen size beds and was a little cramped. The rooms pictured on the hotel's website are quite different from the actual rooms. Maintenance staff great, housekeeping ok, need yogurt on the breakfast bar.

“4th visit and will return”

Older hotel on lower (less crowded) end of Atlantic Ave. Staff has always been very pleasant and helpful. Clean room: only complaint is our mattresses were very firm. Microwave and good sized refrigerator were spotless. Small balcony overlooks Boardwalk. Beach entrance is at hotel's back door. Continental breakfast adequate, coffee so-so. On site restaurant and a store are very convenient. Off street parking garage is tight with entrances on 2nd and 3rd floors (request a room above the 3rd floor). This isn't the snazziest motel on the strip but location, service and rates keep me coming back .

Front desk employees very helpful, location is excellent , the room was very clean and comfortable, I definitely will recommend this hotel.

“near ocean”

great views, close to restaurants, room service did not make up one of the beds in room. a little tight for 3 people in a room. for the money I would try another hotel.
