“Pet confusion”

There was some confusion about my bringing the dog, and while not mentioned on the Internet, there was a surcharge. Because I had a dog I had to be changed from a second floor room to ground floor. Was there a box I should have checked to alert hotel staff I had a pet?? It was not a problem for me, but seemed to cause confusion for the staff.

“Pet Friendly”

I was treated well, and was given a quiet room at the back, with easy access to the back door to take the dog out. The dog and I had no difficulties.

“Can't wait to go back!”

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We will stay there again when we go back.

“Greatly surprised”

When traveling, mostly for family functions, I select hotels/motels closest to our venue which is the reason for choosing the Super 8 in Chesapeake, VA. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room and the motel in general.Most 2-3 star rated motels aren't as accommodating. I could find no fault with the service, the room, the amenities or anything associated with the Super 8. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaning staff was polite, cordial and friendly. I'd recommend this motel to anyone visiting the Chesapeake region. I look forward to our next stay.

“Close to Gym”

Went to Portsmouth Invitational. Closest to the event. Housekeeping not the best. Will not clean if you are still in room. No service after 10 am.

“A great place to stay”

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The staff was great and addressed our issue with the air conditioner immediately. It was so quiet that I slept through breakfast ever morning. This location is near everything, if you have a car and a GPS.

“OK for overhights”

Nice staff, easy access to Portsmouth and highways but not very clean, could use more attention to detail but not too bad for the cost and an overnight stay. A true no frills place and the breakfast could use work too.

“A place to sleep”

The rooms were clean and up to date. The only complaints are the pillows were horribly flat and most of all the Air conditioner did not cool well and was extremely LOUD. We had to shut it off and open the window. We had other friends at the same hotel and their AC was the same.

“Poor service”

Although the room and hotel was sufficient for the price, the service at the front desk was arrogant, lazy, and otherwise not helpful. I will hesitate before booking another room with Super 8 based on my experience.
