“only one block from beach”

nice clean hotel....yes it was off season but only one block from beach w/on site parking and pool it was more then what you need. fridge in room a plus very satisfied overall

“Will return again”

Happy to have found a hotel that does not charge you up the wazoo to bring your dogs with. Was clean and tidy all around the property - considering the amount of guests with dogs, it was impressive. The only thing I'd request at next visit is to not be put on 6th floor at the stairwell end of hallway- there was a group of 20 somethings throwing a party and to have all their friends sneak in with booze, they made constant use of the stairwell - very noisy, especially with them dropping the empty beer cans as they went up and down.

“Can't wait to go back!!!”

Staying at LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Virginia Beach was great! My husband and I just planned a quick weekend getaway to the beach and were extremely happy with LaQuinta. We didn't want to spend alot of money so LaQuinta ended up to be perfect! The rates were great and even though it wasn't right on the beach you could see the ocean from your room (we were on the top floor) and it was a quick walk to the great boardwalk and beach. The staff was very friendly and were very helpful with places to eat and directions to get to around town. The room was beautiful. The only downside was it was a smoking room and really smelled like it as soon as you entered. When we addressed the issue with the front desk they quickly apologized and would have moved us if we wanted. We chose not to move because once you got past the front door it was ok.

Dining

Breakfast was great at the Sea Gull Hotel patio on the beach. Food was good and it was great to gaze at the ocean while you ate. Close to La Quinta too so it was a nice morning walk,

Nightlife

Murphy"s Irish Pub and Grill was a great place for a late night drink. And it's only two blocks away!

“Wonderful Honeymoon Stay”

Everything with this hotel was absolutely perfect! Stayed there for a few days for my honeymoon and the location near the beach was AWESOME!!! The staff was extremely helpful with our needs! Plus, I have to co-sign with their claims to having very comfortable beds. Extremely soft, my wife fell asleep within seconds. Thanks alot!!

“Hotel perfect for triathlon event”

Wouldn't choose this hotel for a beach vacation since you have to walk across a busy road, but it was a great hotel for the Sandman Triathlon. Very comfortable, clean, friendly and the price was right.

“only a night's stay”

The hotel suited our purpose for 1 night in Va Beach. The air conditioner was noisy and the toilet had a leak but it was overall OK. Breakfast was decent in the morning and the staff was friendly

“Found a great pet friendly hotel”

We were just going to the beach for one night, and did not want to pay the high prices for the beach front hotels. Some being very old , and not very clean. ( about $100 more). we were very surprised to find this location , only a block from the beach, very clean , and up dated rooms. We were on the top floor which gave a very good view of ocean and the beach drive. Will be back, and will stay longer with my cat. She will love looking out the windows. watching all that is going on at the beach. Great location and hotel... The staff was very helpful also... love this hotel. We may have our family reunion here 2012. Oh ! did I say they are a Pet friendly hotel , with no extra charge for up to two pets per room .. Great, Great. Great
