“Va. Beach Hilton”
By far the nicest hotel I have visited on the strip in VA Beach. But that is a very low standard to overcome. Considering how warm it was for a November at the beach I got a deal on the room rate, but I think the rate is inflated a great deal during the warmer months, for what you get... But considering the other local options I see how they can charge such a high rate. Catch 31 is an excellent seafood restaurant/bar in this hotel. ** no access from parking deck directly into hotel at night for some reason... you must go through the lobby even if you have a key card. they could at least put a sign up wit a warning to that effect.***
“Wonderful retreat in a great location!”
This facility was a wonderful venue for a get-away for the two of us. The Virginia Beach oceanfront location can't be beat. This Hilton offers everything you need and more. Will definitely go back!
“Nice Hotel ...”
The location is great for adults. Hotel staff was very nice. However, one front desk clerk promised to get us checked in a little early, but after 2 hours ...didn't do it... we asked a different front desk clerk and she checked with housekeeping and got us our room & checked it right away. Both hotel restaurants and downstairs bar were pricey.... The nicer restaurant was $225 for dinner and 1 glass of house wine each for 3 people. However,I must admit.... the food was great. Just be prepared! The roof top pool was very nice and having a indoor and outdoor pool was very convenient . Overall, I would recommend this hotel
“Great Balcony Above The Beach!”
Clean, modern hotel with excellent staff in a prime location! The balcony was the highlight of the room, though the room itself was very nice, and the bathroom was exceptional (including a double shower-head)! The staff will generally try to direct you to restaurants on-site, or to restaurants owned by Gold Key (the firm that owns this Hilton property). Instead, I suggest a restaurant named Terrapin - I had an absolutely flawless dinner there. My only complaint would be that the room should have had a mini-fridge in it - something that should be standard in a beachfront hotel.
“Great Hotel”
This was our first stay at a Hilton property. We normally stay with Marriott. I have to say that we were overall impressed with this property. The location is wonderful and we loved the roof top pools and bar. Our room was a bit small, we had a two double beds, but the view was spectacular from our balcony. I wish upon check in that we had been told that 2 free beach chairs were included. We ended up renting chairs when we could have used the free ones.
“Nice hotel”
The hotel is nice and very clean. We were fortunate to get a corner room on an upper floor and we had a great view of the beach and the street. The beds were comfortable, the room temperature was great and the bathroom was very nice with a large shower. The rooftop pool is great, although a little small. The staff keeps towels stocked, which is nice. The parking is across the street, and I would recommend valet parking. I had room service one night and it took and hour for the delivery. The food was not prepared as we ordered and the price was very high. Overall, I would stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to everyone.
“Horrible”
got the wrong room took them forever to get us the right one service was bad pool was so tiny, there are no chairs for the sun. dont go
“Good hotel on Virginia Beach”
Stayed on club level of hotel. Valet parking is quick and efficient ($12 per day). Check in was smooth with no issues. Rooms are clean. Air conditioning was very loud (Had to turn off so we could sleep) and open balcony sliding door. Did have an issue with blocked toilet, but this was quickly addresed. Bathroom floor and towels could have dealt with quicker however. Turn down service seems to show up early enough that you are still getting ready for dinner. The Catch 31 restaurant does not take reservations during summer which is a little inconvenient. Ate there with family first evening earlier before crowd hit and enjoyed splitting a seafood tower with my daughter. Other evenings we ended up walking. Tapas place ,disappointing (Pizza place next door had sangria but Spanish Tapas menu did not). Good mexican taco place. Shops from hotel are handy. Club level room ,convenient for a nice breakfast in morning, saw no evidence of advertized wine tasting on Thursday evening. Beach cabanas, and umbrellas are available for rent directly on beach and can charged to room. Concierge desk seems set up to facilitate time share sales in evening, provided beach towels and discount ticket for beach chairs though. Would much prefer a rack of brochures on local attractions be available.. Salcia, the upscale steak restaurant does take reservations, but not really appropriate for kids under 10. Roof top pool is pleasant enough though can get a bit windy and is easily crowded.
“Hilton VA Beach”
This was a very nice place to stay. Had everything needed and wanted close by. I look forward to staying there again.
“An Excellent Hotel”
Our first time to Virginia Beach and we were thoroughly impressed. The hotel is in the perfect place, right on the beach and for you Starbuck's lovers (like us) then there is an award winning one just a stone's throw away. The room was great and the view of the beach was stunning. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We tried both resturants at the hotel and the food quality was wonderful. To the left of the hotel is a stage and a green area where you can chill out relax and listen to live bands, the bands were all high quality and very entertaining. Must mention the beach as it is kept in such good condition, very clean. We will be returning to this place!
