“Better Than Nothing”
When first admitted into the hotel, the smell was pleasant. The staff was more than happy to assist me to finding my room and connecting my laptop to the complimentary hi-speed internet access. Once we got into the room, however, the smell turned very unpleasant. It turns out we were given a smoking room, when we specifically asked for a non-smoking. My daughter has a minor case of asthma and it was lucky we brought an air disinfectant. In addition, the first night, an obnoxious group of people came barging into the hotel at around 1 in the morning. Imagine sleeping comfortably despite the unmistakable smell of smoke only to be frightened into waking up because it sounds like you're at a rock concert. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay. The beds were indeed double-stuffed - however, make sure you bring your own pillows just in case they're too stuffed. I couldn't sleep on the pillows because it hurt my neck so much. The breakfast buffet was typical, with muffins, eggs, sausages, and bagels. The juice was questionable - there was a hint of a can taste to them. Also, the hairdryers looked a little shabby, and possibly outdated. It may be better to bring your own. Housekeeping was very clean and can change your linens as many times as you like. (Mine smelled like cigarettes the first night.) All in all, it was just another hotel - not home sweet home, but better than nothing.
