Superb stay

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Extemely friendly and cheerful staff. Amazing food, and a swimming pool.
Cons: Vey little to improve. Larger beds would be welcome. We felt a bit squashed in ours.
Location: Wroxham and Horning within a few miles. Both lovely areas along the Broads
My wife and I had a two night stay and were very pleased with our choice. The staff all seemed young but were extremely cheerful, friendly and accomodating. We thought the food would be of a high standard because the hotel hosts weddings and other celebrations. We were right. The food was amazing. Superbly cooked and presented and at just £17.50 for a three course meal, incredible value. Our room was comfortable and the only critisism would be that we only had one small window that we could open which made the room a bit hot and stuffy. Would definately recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Nice old fashioned hotel

Posted 13-Jul-2014
We stayed for two nights with our 5 yr old daughter. The staff were lovely. Dinner was decent pub style food. Room was big enough for the three of us. The small pool and gardens kept the little one happy. All in all a good stay.

A pleasant and relax stay.

Posted 03-Jun-2014
A very comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel the first evening, it was a great meal which both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed. It is a little unfortunate that some of the rooms are in a building which is detached from the main building and the dining room (really only a problem if it is raining when you go for breakfast), however, this didn't stop us have a lovely stay at The Old Rectory and we would happily stay there again.

Very attentive staff, duck main course was delicious at dinner. Lovely cooked breakfast. Best of all they welcome well behaved dogs. Close to Bewilderwood, Norwich City centre, Norfolk broads and lots of lovely pubs and restaurants. A fab stay. Thank you.

Superb Location

Posted 19-May-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The signing of the hotel
Hotel a little difficult to find as the sign on the roadside was very very small and on a busy road it was difficult to see. We were quickly booked in and directed to our room. A lovely large room which was very clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was rather small but adequate and the shower was very good and easy to use. Towels were nice and fluffy. The bed was very comfortable and roomy. One slight downside was that breakfast finished at 9.a.m even on a weekend. We could have done with a slightly later finishing time nevertheless the cooked food was good and plenty of choice. We did not use the dining room in an evening as we were visiting family. The swimming pool looked very inviting but there was not enough time to make use of it. A very enjoyable stay.

Pros: its location close to rellies
Cons: Could offer a daily paper could be ordered
Location: Between Norwich and the broads
Made welcome comfortable. Room but. A bit dark. The shower needed safety provision
