“Will be back on next trip”
Easy for Eurostar/ TGV at 5mins walk of Lille Europe also next to shopping centre. Short walk to town centre. Superb dining at Bistro Lillois on Rue de la Gand.
“Convenient Travel hotel”
Hotel Lille Europe is located in an ideal spot when travelling by train into Lille as my wife and I did. The only hotel located more conveniently is the Crowne Plaza which is literally across the street from the train station. The other conveniences of Lille Europe's location are its easy walking proximity to the "old town" area (2-3 minutes) and the fact that it is actually co-located as part of the huge Eurolille Mall complex, so abundant shopping is available. We stayed in a basic room with a double bed. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. The convenience bar had water, coca-colas, beer, and a bag of potato chips in it. All drinks were priced 2.50 euros (kind of high but not unexpected). There was no iron or ironing board or the European style press system but the bathroom was equipped with a hair dryer. The bathroom was very clean and seemed newly remodeled. Good, hot pulsing stream of water from the shower even when we woke up late (10 a.m.). The best feature of this hotel is that the internet access is Free. It was easy to set up, hi-speed, and worked great. The hotel staff was very friendly and had no trouble speaking English. Overall, a very convenient, budget-saving spot for locating yourself near shopping and local landmarks - and with a bonus of free internet access.
“Good value hotel in Lille”
Lille Europe is very conveniently placed for both stations. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and quite spacious. Buffet breakfast, served in a large, plesant room on the 1st floor, is good value. For the price, the hotel can't be faulted really. would definitely recommend
“Lille a great place to shop.”
Not too keen about using blankets on the bed ,much prefer duvets these days, one pillow was not enough either. Although the hotel is built over the shopping mall no noise at all was heard day or night. We travelled by Eurostar and the close proximity of station and hotel was excellent. English is widely spoken even during low peak times we visited during February.
“Lille great but choose another hotel”
This hotel was very convenient to the Eurostar Terminal and next door to the vast Euralille Shopping Complex. These are the only two things that the Lille Europe Hotel had going for it. The rooms were a bit jaded, several things didn't work, it was much too hot (depths of winter) - you just felt everthing was done on the cheap. Much better to go slightly further into Lille - you can still walk there with your luggage - and have a choice of better hotels.
“Fine for a short stay”
Comfortable and local to both the Euro Star and Old Town!
“lille braderie”
went for the braderie[flea market, largest in europe, whole town centre involved]which is always 1st w/end in sept.hotel could not be better placed 300m from train,300m to braderie, good hotel overall, would recomend but book early
“Would stay at again”
Very close to Europe Lille and Lille Flanders. Nice rooms, friendly service (not great english but enough to get by).
“Lille convenience”
Extremely close to Lille Eurostar...only 1 1/4 hours from London. Steps from the indoor mall and a short walk to the cafes and pedestrian areas of Lille. I couldn't believe how convenient and reasonably priced it was. English speaking desk staff made staying here a breeze.
“Not Impressed”
Hot water in the bath room did not work. Room does not feel clean.
