“Andy H”
Great location, lovely room compared to many French hotels. Lovely reception staff. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Would stay again.
“Great Weekend”
Had a fantastic weekend with a group of friends. The people we met during our stay in Lille and hotel staff extremely friendly. Hotel is in a central location, plenty of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. 5min cab ride from Eurostar station, recommend get price first, we had two cabs taking same journey and both charged different fares otherwise can't say a negative comment about our stay in Lille.
“Very nice hotel. Great location”
Very nice hotel in traditional French style which is exactly what we wanted. Location was fantastic - a stones throw from "Grand Place" and the old town. Great breakfast - buffet with lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and spoke brilliant English. We needed a room to accomodate 3 as were travelling with our 6 year old. The expedia website wouldn't allow us to book more than 2 in the room but when we phoned Expedia direct they were brilliant and arranged it all for us. Room was nice and big. Our only negative comment would be that that the room was very warm at night (we stayed late October - weather was warm for the time of year) I can't imagine how hot it would be in the middle of summer! No sign of air conditioning but to be fair we didn't ask. Quite expensive we thought but having looked at lots of hotels it seems that accomodation is expensive in Lille
“Nice hotel in very convenient location”
Nice hotel, conveniently located very close to the Lille's main square. English-speaking and very helpful staff. Would go back with no doubt.
“Friendly staff & brilliant location.”
The hotel was perfect for our brief trip to Lille and the staff were very helpful. In my opinion, you couldn't better its location.
“Great place!!!”
Great hotel in center of Lille! Can't beat the quality and room wasHUGE! Price for this type room was unbeatable! Will definately stay again when I return to Lille!
“Salon du Chocolat Lille March 2011”
We visited Lille for its first Salon du Chocolat. We chose the Belle Vue for its location and paid extra for a room overlooking the Grande Place which was certainly worth it. The hotel was excellent - amazing location and the breakfast although 13 euros per person was certainly worth it when confronted with the excellent choice. The day before we spent 5 euros each for just one coffee. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would also recommend the hotel bar - Bar Windsor for a memorable cocktail. Would certainly recommend this hotel and will return.
“Lille Hotel”
Hotel was fantastic. They spoke English and helped me when needed. It is in the square and the view was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you are from the United States.
“Fantastic location, wonderful view.”
As other review have said, it's well worth paying the extra for a room with the stunning view of the Grande Place. Aside from that, a very pleasant hotel with nice decor and helpful staff.
“Perfect location”
This hotel is in the ideal location for a week end break. It is worth paying the extra to have a room overlooking the Place du General de Gaulle which is the centre of all activity. Noise is not a problem. Service is excellent. A replacement hair dryer within 3 minutes is as good as it gets. It is not a super swish hotel, but it has character and calm. For a special occassion the nearby La Compostelle restaurant is ideal. Republique Beaux-Arts is worth a visit, but take your French dictionary. Stunning art but no attempt to display or inform. It is possible to walk from the Eurostar station but the wheels of the suitcase on the cobbles is a severe drawback. Ear plugs are recommended.
