“Excellent hotel to stay at when visiting Lille”

Very good hotel, located within walking distance of the city center.

“No frills studio room”

This being one of the cheapest options in Lille it has the advantage of being very clean, and the studios are more spacious than the cheapest hotel rooms usually tend to be. However it is a relatively long walk (25 mins) from the old city center, in the immediate vicinity there is nothing of interest, its biggest drawback being that it directly overlooks the freeway with a room on that side of the hotel providing constant traffic noise. As the room is a studio the bed is a convertible sofa and very uncomfortable with the thinnest foam mattress one can conceive. Altogether only ok if looking to save money.

“Good for the price”

Good for the price, basic but effective. The only gripe I had would be the room was a a little cold (mid winter) and I couldn't figure how to up the climate control to turn on the rad. No staff around as was a festival weekend (?), however they rang me before I departed and explained very helpfully/clearly how to find the keys and room. I've not rated the location so much as it the area seemed to be under consutruction. Would expect it to look much more reasonable come the summer. That said, it was only a few minutes drive from the main centre, so it was rather convenient.

“Very good hotel, for the price”

Hotel is located 2 tube stops from the city centre, and the distance from the hotel to the tube station is very short, 5min max. There was nobody at reception, but we have recieved a phone call 1 day prior to our arrival, with the code to get into the building as well as the code to the safe, where our key was. To make the service better, there could be a map of the area, so its clear where to get a tube from.

“Worst Ever”

This is the most disgraceful hotel ever. Its like a sauna with secondary glazing and no A/C. Its dirty, tired and is poorly fitted. It will take something special to be worse than this.

“Good value”

This hotel is a good value for the money. It was clean, quiet and a short metro ride to the center. It is very hard to find though, so make sure you have good directions.

“Appartmenthotel im Verwaltungsbezirk”

Als günstige Unterkunft in der Nähe des Kongreßzentrums ausgesucht. Es handelt sich um kein klassisches Hotel sondern um möblierte Appartements, die man auch längerfristig mieten kann. Entsprechend gibt es keinen eigentlichen Hotelservice wie z..B. Bettenmachen etc. Wenn mans weiß, ist es okay. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist für den geringen Preis okay. Die Altstadt von Lille ist zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten entfernt, das Kongreßzentrum nur 5 Minuten. Die nähere Umgebung (Verwaltungsgebäude) versprüht den Betoncharme der 70er Jahre. Für den vorgesehenen Zweck (billige Unterkunft nahe zum Kongreß) gut zu empfehlen.

“Appart-City Lille Grand Palais”

Globalement satisfait de la résidence hôtelière. Dommage que le petit déjeuner soit à un prix très élevé. Du coup, chacun fait son petit-dej dans sa chambre. La place de parking souterrain est pratique, mais là aussi un peu chère.
