My wife and I stayed there for three days while I was attending a conference at the Moscone center. Only 15 minute walk through Union Square and the Powell BART station. Excellent location for shopping, eating, walking around. Great place to stay.
Everything about the hotel was amazing. It's in the heart of the city, everything was so close. I was very pleased with our room and all it's amenities. Plus side to our room was the amazing city view. The only downfall to the hotel is parking. There is no parking in the hotel, valet is available for $52 a night. Parking on the street was relatively easy considering we were in the city.
We chose Petite because of a great rate, convenient location, and nice reviews for a family reunion. If you decide to stay understand it's an old building that feels very much like an old European Pension. With that said it's delightful. Rooms are small but tidy and comfortable. The common space in the lower level is cosy. Between breakfast and the wine and cheese at the end of the day we wound up spending a lot of time camped around the fire place. Staff is friendly. lovely old hotel with beautiful views from the "Top of the Mark" Next year at Thanksgiving we will try their buffet, our stay was very pleasant, staff welcoming and courteous, bed comfortable, will stay there whenever in San Fran.
Parking sucks but its San Francisco what do you expect. Also no guest laundry available. Pleasantly surprised though. Was worth the money. SF is no fun during a storm and power outage though. Lol darn mother nature.
