“Good quality hotel in pleasant residential area”
Within walking distance of the town centre and close to the city ring roads, the hotel is a modern block, mixing residential and hotel accommodation. So do not expect to have a view on the river flowing nearby, as the hotel rooms are only situated on the town side and do not go beyond the third floor. There is a good bus service to the main railway station and pleasant walks to town along the river or through the park nearby. The hotel has no car park, although there is ample parking space outside the building but fees apply until evening. Rooms are fairly large and well equipped, with tea and coffee facilities, a safe and small fridge. A buffet breakfast, which is fairly adequate, is served in the restaurant decorated in a style reminiscent of the time of Charlemagne. He had established a castle in the town and remains can still be seen today. On the whole the hotel is pleasant but has a sightly old -fashioned look not expected in a modern building.
“Excellent Central Location”
I stayed here for one night after travelling from Eindhoven. The hotel was raesonable enough which suited our needs. It had a good central location and was only a short walk to the local bars and restaurants. We didn't have the breakfast in the hotel but decided to have coffee overlooking the Waal Road Bridge. Parking was free in the street nearby, if you were parking out of peak hours.
“Simple, a bit outdated”
This hotel was clean, staff was helpful and met our needs. The hotel itself need a facelift but for the money it was good enough.
“Not impressed”
This hotel is barely 3 star. The shower didn't work and the bed was very uncomfortable. They also don't tell you that that there is no hotel car park. You have to pay at a meter and leave the car in the street
“Staff very friendly and helpful but very, very dated hotel”
The staff here were very welcoming and knowledgeable about what there was to do in the area. Could not fault the service we got from the reception staff. However, the room was very dated. I would say that this place had been built in the 70's and I doubt it's seen any modernisation since then. While the room had everything we needed, it was not a nice place to stay in all honesty. The place felt shabby and was desperately in need of some TLC. The bathrooms were all decked out in 1970's chocolate brown tiles and beige bath suite, for what it would cost to do the bathrooms up, I feel it would be a worth while investment.
“Fenster”
WAS MIR NICHT GUT GEFALLEN HAT IST DIE TATSACHE DAS DIE STORES VO DEN FENSTERN ZERRISSEN SIND. SO EINE GARDINE IST WIRKLICH NICHT TEUER UND DAS ZIMMER WÜRDE NICHT NICHT "VERKOMMEN" WIRKEN
