This hotel was conveniently located, a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants of Nice. Check in was easy, room was clean and had everything you expect in a hotel. We didn't use any of the facilities as we were out exploring most of the time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Nice and we fell in love with the Windsor Hotel. From the second we arrived we fell in love with it’s aesthetic. From its beautiful garden and homely presence the whole building was spectacular. Everyday we found something new we loved about the hotel. The breakfast was amazing and the food served was outstanding. However, we chose to opt out for local businesses due to expensive pricing. We loved the staff who were very accommodating, fun and each with their own charm. However, rather disappointingly we did find two in particular quite short coming and rude. We tried to explain about paying for drinks and they looked at us like idiots and spoke to us as though we weren’t making any sense. We were obsessed with the garden and the pool. We loved the little parrots in the garden. Waking up in the morning with the sun shining through and hearing the birds sing was truly beautiful thing. The hotel is really accessible to various locations and easy to walk to and from. It was situated perfectly in the town. Honestly despite a few minor hiccups the whole experience was amazing and we loved every second. We will be back!

Excellent and quirky. The staff were excellent. Lovely hotel, would stay again on another visit to Nice. Would like to try some of the other artists rooms. Our cage aux mouches room was on the creepy side!!!

Beautiful old hotel in the centre of Nice. Easy to access from the L2 Tramway. Spacious, comfortable room on the second floor. Quiet area with shops and cafes and a 5 min walk to the the sea front. Staff friendly and patient as we tried to speak french. We'll be back.

The Windsor is a bit of a hidden gem. The rooms themselves are pretty basic although functional, but the location is great (an easy walk into old town but far enough away that it’s very quiet) and the garden is a little oasis in the middle of the city.

Square pillows
We had a fabulous couple of days in Nice. The room we stayed in at Windsor hotel could not be a four star rating, maybe other rooms in the same hotel. I think they give hotels.com customers the worst room they have. I have never experienced sleeping on square pillows, they were like big cushions, so very uncomfortable. Room was very dated but they say it’s art and I am not convinced. We were not allowed to bring our food in from the outside to eat in the garden even though it was empty, lunch was over and too early for dinner business. Another thing we were uncomfortable was we have to leave our room key together with the safe key at the desk every time we leave the hotel. Room key I am ok with but the safe key I have trouble. Location is good everything is within walking distance. I don’t think I would come back to this hotel.

The room you stayed in was designed by local artist Jean mas, known for his work depicting fly cages. We would have been delighted to explain his work to you, and to suggest another room that would suit you better. Concerning the pillows, we have decorative pillows on the beds which are indeed thick, but concerning our bedding we have square pillows in all our rooms. We could have changed them for your comfort with rectangular pillows. Outside food is forbidden in our garden, even if the restaurant is closed, as we don't want this place to become a picnic spot. Nevertheless, our restaurant, which is rarely used in summer, can welcome you exceptionally. We advise you to leave your keys at the hotel when you leave so that they don't get in your way and to avoid losing them, but there's no obligation to do so. We apologize for any misunderstanding. This property is cute and quaint but has some issues. The staff were lovely and AC is good but overall the place is a bit shabby. The pool which was the reason I booked it is not sunny often also the loungers are in a sad gated off area and so if you thought about sunbathing by the pool it’s not really the experience you might want. In my room it smelled faintly of sewage at times. It was also noisy and I could hear other guests. Also for a four star hotel I expect basic toiletries not an all in one shampoo/ body wash. Overall this was not a 4 star experience

A perfect stay!
What a great option for Nice! Steps from the Sea, nice restaurants in walking distance, convenient walk to train station, not far from Old Town either. Rooms were very comfortable. Hotel staff was amazing, very kind and helpful, we were always greater with a smile. The restaurant on-site is fantastic, had a nice meal in the garden with the birds. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel experience.
The staff was absolutely terrific. Everyone was friendly as well as helpful. The room that was originally booked was a bit small for our needs so as soon as there was a larger room available, we were moved with a very minimal charge for the upgrade. The location could not have been better. The outdoor space is absolutely charming. I look forward to staying there on my next trip to Nice.

Lovely hotel. Quirky and colourful interior design. Convenient for the centre (walkable). Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Good garden area, didn't like the caged birds,though. Air conditioning not available in April and room hot at night. Would definitely stay here again, and shall recommend it to family. ☺

Tiny bathroom
The people working in this hotel are super nice. We were shocked to see the size of this bathroom considering I am only 5ft 6 and weight less than 130 pound. When you sit on the toilet, your face is against the wall. After using the shower, the whole bathroom floor is wet. The room size is good. I just wish that the bathroom can be redesigned to be more friendly.

Great location, really friendly staff, my room (Noel Dolla) was large, bright and interesting but the bathroom really needed a refit. The handheld shower head was cracked, the overhead shower flooded the bathroom floor in seconds. The sink was completely impractical even for a petite woman, I’d hate to be a man having to use it.

Lovely hotel, very convenient. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Great value for money. Quiet area. Our room had a city view & it was quiet at night. Very comfy beds.

We absolutely loved Windsor Hotel! We spent 2 weeks there. The staff is lovely and accommodating. Location is amazing. We didn’t partake in the breakfast because there are so many wonderful cafes on virtually every corner. We had dessert and coffee one evening and it was delicious. Our room had a little balcony that was perfect. We would highly recommend Windsor Hotel for anyone wanting to experience the Nice lifestyle.
