“Will definitely return”
Great hotel, location and breakfast
“Better than expected”
Top location facing on one side the Mediterranean and Promenade des Anglais and to the other the Opera and Saleya Flower market with its stunning Vieille Nice restaurant and pub zone, all 5 minutes walk to the excellent tram connections. I will return!
“Interesting hotel”
The room we stayed in was interesting. The bed room was on a higher level up some stairs. Very cramped. The hotel did have some rooms without this. However, the position was excellent for walking around the city and catching the bus to Monaco.
“Very comfortable”
Our stay started with a small problem that the staff sorted quickly to our satisfaction. Room was very comfortable and would stay there again. Central to the old and new, beach front location. Staff were very good and helpful with local knowledge to assist whenever required.
“Great location and friendly service!”
The location of the Mercure Nice Marche Fleurs is unreal. Right across the street from the beach and on the main avenue! It's a block away from tons of restaurants and the flower market and very accessible to public transport as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions! The rooms were laid out a bit odd (bed was up a winding stair case and everything else on main level) but very comfortable, modern and clean! The bathroom was huge by European standards and overall, the room was perfect. It's good to note that there are no elevators (and there are stairs to get into the lobby). It's about a €30 cab from the airport or you can take the bus to the tram stop for €4 per person. We would definitely go back and stay at the Mercure again!
“Overall the room is very clean”
Overall the room is very clean. However, hotel doesn' t have elevator and the air conditioner is not working as we expected. (not cool enough) The room size is small. So don't use North American standard to judge then you will be fine.
“Old Town comfort”
Stayed for 2 nights. Room was very clean. Unusual layout in that the double bed was on a mezzanine floor which we liked! Great location - right nexty the old town and in front of the beach. Didn't have breakfast there as preferred eat out.
“Good value hotel in excellent location.”
Hotel is in a great location in Nice on the waterfront at at the edge of the old town. Easy walk to the food and flower markets, restaurants and lookout. Parking was a problem - there is none. The hotel advertises public parking but this was not available as some of the parking stations could not be accessed. Strongly recommend not having a car. Our room was comfortable but we had a loft bedroom which became very stuffy. The a/c was not very effective. Didn't eat at the hotel at breakfast was quite expensive. Plenty of good places within a few minutes walk.
“Great little hotel”
I've been going to Nice regularly for the last six years but had never stayed at this hotel. Whilst it won't win any design awards the rooms are comfortable; clean and nicely furnished. The real stars are the staff who could not have been more helpful: they gave us directions; provided a map, made restaurant recommendations - nothing was too much trouble! The location is fantastic: right on the seafront and moments from the nightlife of the Old Town. Plus it was good value - I'll be coming here again!
“Great little hotel with good location”
The hotel is located opposite the beach and close to the popular Vielle Ville where there are loads of little shops and restaurants and nearby to the tram stop. When we arrived we were allowed to choose our room and ours was really quirky with the bed up a little staircase with a balcony. The staff were really friendly and there is a useful booklet of information at reception. The room was clean and comfy. The only issue was a lack of cupboard and drawer space for putting clothes.
