“Good Solid 3 Star Hotel”

Good hotel chain. Excellent service by reception staff. Good buffet breakfast (16 euros). A bit pricey bar drinks.

“Nice roof, disappointing room”

Booked hotel for location, rooftop patio/sunbed facility. Also booked superior room based on photographs on website. Everything fine apart from room which was hugely disappointing: very basic, stained carpet, and noisy ineffective air conditioning. breakfast good, reception good but bar never manned.

“Excellent location!”

Although not located in such a prominent location on the sea front as 2 other maybe more popular Mercure Hotels - don't be decieved. This hotel is handily located for a lot of bars and restaurants yet still about 5 minutes walk from the Promenade. It is also located on a quiet road..... so traffic noise will not be a problem.

“Great four Days in Nice”

The hotel room was small but nicely decorated. The bathroom was modern. We didn't pay for the breakfast but went out into the neighbourhood for a cheaper meal. The surrounding area is full of nice restaurants and great shopping. Short walk to Vielle Ville where we ate most dinners. Would definitely visit Nice again and stay at this hotel.

“Reasonable priced - not as comfortable as my other stays in Mercure chain”

For my entire Europe trip early June , I stayed in 4 hotels, includinf 3 Mercure locations. Even though the price in this hotel is the lowest, but tyou sacrifice at the confort level. The hotel is quite old and run-down. furnitures and facilities. are old and run down. The only good thing is its convenient location, walking distance to the beaches and down-town. Good for short stay. (1 to 2 day max.)

Area recommendations
Close to downtown and without a car . a lot of one-way and expensive to park.
Getting around
I will highly recommend to do without a car if you are staying in Nice for a prolonged time. Parking is very exoaensive. I paid 5.50 euro for 1 hour and 7 minutes.

“Not the best hotel rooms in Nice1”

The location of the hotel is absolutely spot on, near all the night life and shops. We went away for my 40th with 6 other couples, some were pleased with there rooms, others not so pleased. The one's that weren't so pleased had mould round the frosted bathroom window, tiny room with no mirrors in it apart from the bathroom which is not great when drying your hair! Paint round door frames in sum of the rooms was chipped and could have done with a lick of paint. In all rooms were really clean and to be fair you don't spend much time in the rooms anyway. Yes I would recommend this hotel

“some hotels have what it takes grimaldi does it for me”

hotel staff v friendly and polite great location superb breakfast beach 5mins oldtown10mins bars and resturants right on your doorstep loved the roof terrace tip dont pay 40euro for a taxi get the bus right outside the terminal 4euro and get of at the casino

“a good base for visiting Nice”

Found Nice a very pleasant place to visit.Bus link to and from airport was excellent--as was the bus service to other local towns/cities--very cheap! Hotel was convenient for all areas of Nice but room a bit small and soundproofing inadequate.Food and service was excellent and the Hotel clean and tidy.Eating out can be expensive unless you search off the main street.Overall we had an excellent holiday with superb weather every day.

Area recommendations
Walking up to the waterfall and down into the old town/port.
Getting around
Visiting other areas--use the bus--1 Euro each way per person to most areas.Remember to start any conversation with "Bon-jour" to avoid a lecture !!!!

“The marvellous Mecure Grimaldi”

Area recommendations
All of Nice is worth seeing. The centre with the fountains is lovely. The old town has an excellent choice of street cafes and bars. A walk along the promanade de Anglaise was lovely and relaxing. Just watch out for all the joggers and cyclists Taking the train to Monte Carlo was easy and well worth at a visit.
