“The staff was wonderful”
The hotel is typical for any hotel in this price range, I am sure it is used by business travelers, as it is not located near the beach. However the location is only couple of blocks from the new tram which just began service late last year. The tram will get you within two blocks of the beach and shopping for just over one Euro. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me with local attractions and directions. I will stay at this hotel next time I visit Nice.
“I have stayed here before”
I returned to this hotel because of the service I received the last time I was there.
“Good hotel and location”
Central location. Good location for bus routes, old town etc. Would go back
The rooms are a bit small but contain everything you need. The location is fantastic (very close to the old town and the beaches) and there are many places to dine around the hotel. For the room's price I don't think there is a better deal !!! The hotel is very clean and the staff is helpful.
“Value for money basic accommodation”
Having read a mix of good and bad reviews about the hotel, I definitely come down on the side of those with who liked it. If you want somewhere which is spotless, with ample room space and all mod cons, then maybe it isn't for you. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, so if you're looking for all of those qualities, you're better off digging deeper into your pocket and looking elsewhere. Whilst the room was basic, for someone such as myself who went to Nice to enjoy all that the city has to offer, as opposed to mooching around a hotel, it was ideal. The location couldn't be better with both the port and Vielle Ville within 10 minutes walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English which got me off of the hook what with my flakey French. The breakfast price looked a little expensive relatively speaking. Then again, I had no intention of having it at the hotel anyway given that there are many boulangeries and cafes to choose from nearby. All in all, as hotels go, this is not the best but it's a long way from the being the worst. Value-wise; hard to beat.
“Good affordable hotel close to ferries in Nice”
Great location one minute from Nice's port and a few minutes from the beach. Friendly staff. Rooms small (which is usual fro this type of hotel) but well planned.
“Good hotel choice”
The Kyriad was a good hotel choice. I stayed at another nearby and the Kyriad was twice as nice and both costed around the same amount for the nights I stayed there.
“Good for the price”
As a budget traveler, I found this hotel to be a good buy. The hotel was not in a busy part of town, but it was convenient to walk everywhere still. It took me about 30 minutes to walk to the Nice Ville train station, but they do have a tram that is nice (lot of people, though). It is close to the old town, which has a lot of character and was cool to walk through. I would stay here again if the price was the same.
“Good location, reasonably priced”
this hotel was at a great location close to Nice port and just two minutes walk away from the Place Garibaldi and the Place Masena with all the cafes, restaurants and shops. The room was clean but very, very small. I was travelling alone and I really do not think that a second person would be able to fit in the room with their luggage. The reviews that I read before going there are totally true and not exagerated. Despite that though I would go back because the room was reasonably priced and the location was good, offering a decent and comfortable bed to relax after all that walking.
Air conditioning was not up to the mark. Had to sleep in front of the equipment to cool off :). Room size was decent, not big but OK. Perfect location; close to tram and bus station.
