“Good hotel and location”
Central location. Good location for bus routes, old town etc. Would go back
“Reasonably priced hotel located in Old Nice”
Stayed in this hotel during August 2011 on the last leg of our tour of France. I have to say that really can't complain with the Kyriad, ideally located just a 5min walk from nearest Carrefour supermarket and less than 5 mins from Nice port. Hotel staff were friendly enough. Tram stop just up the road also, and an airport shuttle bus stop literally round the corner. Room was nice and clean, nice shower room. Only bad point was that the heat outside really needed an effective air conditioning unit in the bedroom, ours did not really cool the room down to a reasonable level, however this would only apply during July / August.
“Value for money basic accommodation”
Having read a mix of good and bad reviews about the hotel, I definitely come down on the side of those with who liked it. If you want somewhere which is spotless, with ample room space and all mod cons, then maybe it isn't for you. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, so if you're looking for all of those qualities, you're better off digging deeper into your pocket and looking elsewhere. Whilst the room was basic, for someone such as myself who went to Nice to enjoy all that the city has to offer, as opposed to mooching around a hotel, it was ideal. The location couldn't be better with both the port and Vielle Ville within 10 minutes walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English which got me off of the hook what with my flakey French. The breakfast price looked a little expensive relatively speaking. Then again, I had no intention of having it at the hotel anyway given that there are many boulangeries and cafes to choose from nearby. All in all, as hotels go, this is not the best but it's a long way from the being the worst. Value-wise; hard to beat.
“Good affordable hotel close to ferries in Nice”
Great location one minute from Nice's port and a few minutes from the beach. Friendly staff. Rooms small (which is usual fro this type of hotel) but well planned.
“Good for the price”
As a budget traveler, I found this hotel to be a good buy. The hotel was not in a busy part of town, but it was convenient to walk everywhere still. It took me about 30 minutes to walk to the Nice Ville train station, but they do have a tram that is nice (lot of people, though). It is close to the old town, which has a lot of character and was cool to walk through. I would stay here again if the price was the same.
“value for money”
everything was okay! nothing to complain except the bed was not comfortable. If just for short stay(1 or 2 days), that's fine!
“Good location”
Air conditioning was not up to the mark. Had to sleep in front of the equipment to cool off :). Room size was decent, not big but OK. Perfect location; close to tram and bus station.
