The right area to stay if you want to see Nice

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: The pleasant staff, the location (authentic Nice, not Blackpool with sun like down the promenade) and that pool.
Cons: There should be more regular towel replacements. We had to buy cheap ones just to leave in Nice the second time we came as four towels are not very pl
Location: Perfect location. The museums of modern art and natural history around the corner, as is the charming old town, and it is an easy walk to the beach.
The apartment is an easy walk from Nice Riquier train station and is easy to find right next to the Nice Acropolis. The surrounding area is quite residential and authentic, but still within 20 minutes’ walk of the beach and less than 10 minutes from the old town which is much more pleasant in the evenings than the more touristy areas off the main promenade. The staff are very friendly, the communal areas tidy and the rooms basic and a little dated but clean and tidy. The rooftop pool while very small boasts spectacular alpine views and is a real sun trap. This was our second stay at this apartment complex and we would return again, the only drawback is the room cleaning service is only once weeks when you stay eight days or more so you do need to pack plenty of spare bath towels!

Getaway trip

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: the location and staff.
Cons: bigger rooms and sunbeds around the pool would be nice. More towels. English TV channels
Location: eat drink and be merry. and the bus station to Monaco is close by as well. I would definitely stop here again...
I, like the idea of this being a hotelapartment. we had a fridge and cooking area. The room was a little small and it was difficult to get on to the balcony but we managed. I would stay here again. The location is excellent and the supermarkets are only a short distance away. a 10 min walk to the beach and the promenade. eating was very cheap in our area and so was purchasing wine and food.

Great location for old town and promenade

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: Air con, balcony, kitchen facilities
Cons: cleanliness
Location: Great location for bus transport links. Great for old town and castle. 15 min pretty flat walk to promenade/ beach through park.
Good sized space, with balcony. Kitchenette had two electric hobs, fridge, filter coffee machine, microwave with grill and oven features - perfectly adequate for our needs! Great, quiet air conditioning :) Comfy bed, balcony, safe, TV, desk, table & chairs provided. Shower was bath attachment with no means of hanging on wall. Towels provided. 24hr reception. Confusing stairways, but lift access to all floors! Swimming pool great sun trap, if a bit on the small side. Not the cleanest... couple of areas where grime build-up on floor corners, but nothing really gross! Great place for access to bus stops for trips to Monaco, airport etc. Easy flat walk (15 mins ish) to promenade and beach through pretty gardens. Really close to old town, castle etc.

Shocking - the pictures are absolutely deceiving

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Deep cleaning and complete re painting
Grubby reception seating area, filthy steps up to the accommodation. Foul smell in reception. Mould in bathroom, ingrained dirt above the bed head. Horrendous view of buildings from tiny terrace. Water stains all the way down building, water stains on ceiling Terrace downstairs- dirty tables and chairs. Cigarette butts overflowing in ashtray... A most horrible experience. Even though it was the busiest weekend in Nice after a few hours of calling and walking around other hotels we managed to secure another hotel. What a relief. The man in reception was very helpful!!

Very central ,but on a very noisy road

Very central ,but on a very noisy road.Everything in the room was acceptable ,staff very mannered and helpful. Room was clean and has enough utilities to have a quick breakfast or a late hot snack in the evening! Location was good.We could walk everywhere, within 2 miles radius from the hotel is everything you need for a holiday.

Needs refurbishing.

Posted 04-Oct-2013
Pros: Free wi-fi, air con, location
Cons: Decor, cleanliness, more facilities e.g. bar or restaurant
Location: There are bars & shops fairly close by and a tram stop.
Our stay in an Adagio studio apartment brought back memories of student living! It was dingy and the bathroom stank of drains for almost the entire trip. The bathroom is also tiny, the shower curtain looked like it could fall off any minute and the shower itself wasn't great. The whole hotel needs refurbishing as the decor is tired and grubby throughout. Our blanket on our bed was also a bit grubby, although the bed was reasonably comfy & sheets were clean. Our coffee maker didn't work however it was replaced by the helpful staff. The kitchenette is tiny and wouldn't be very good for general cooking beyond baguettes as breakfast. The fridge occasionally made a loud noise, we got used to it but could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. It's location is good and handy for local transport links & shops. Wi-fi was free, the air con worked and staff were helpful but although fairly cheap for Nice it's still overpriced and I would stay elsewhere in future

Good location near the Garibaldi tram station so it's convenient if you're coming from the train station. Beds are comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient.

they say they have parking, but it was always "full". The dude at the reception was extremely unhelpful sorting that out. Far from the bustling nightlife of Nice, takes about 15mins walk. Better off finding somewhere else, even if you do have to pay a little extra.
