“Excdelllent value in prime position”

We stayed for only one night en route to Toronto, but found the hotel perfect for our requirements. The staff were freindly and helpful. The location, so close to the falls was a wonderful bonus.

Area recommendations

Niagara is quite small, and pretty much everything (including Canada) is accessible on foot, so the area does not matter to any extent. Obviously, the falls are the main attraction, so a hotel with views over them is good. Beware of staying in the downtown area on the Canadian side though, unless you want to be in the middle of a small, very touristy amusement park. Probably quite a fun area, but slightly tacky compared with the rest of the Niagara area.

Getting there

The train from New York is a great way to travel, although there is no station to speak of on the US side of the border. It is also some way out of town so a taxi is necessary at about $16. Strangely, it is easy to walk across the Rainbow Bridge into Canada from the town, with minimum formality, but we found that the rail crossing when we moved on to Toronto involved a lengthy delay, and we were required to disembark from the train with all our luggage, for inspection by Canadian customs and immigration. Only a minor inconvenience, but poor service compared with our treatment by US officials on the journey from Montreal to New York, where all formalities were completed on board the train.

“Good hotel”

The hotel located very near to Niagaras fall,so you can go there by walk.The park nearest to the hotel is good to take a break and walk.The rooms are clean and comfortable.The hotel is old but with good maintenace.So I recomend this hotel!

“Great Stay”

I booked this hotel last minute to take my 3 young children to the Falls. We had a great stay. All of the hotel employees who we encountered we very kind & helpful. It is in a great location, if you take the bus from the airport one doesn't need to rent a car. It is close enough to walk to everything, even Canada! I would most certainly recommend thishotel to anyone. Thank you Holiday Inn for your "Kids Eat Free", as a mother of 3 this helps immensely!

“Better Than Expected! Would return again.”

Hotel is very easy to find, lots of parking and casino is 1 block away. Room was very comfortable, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast - buffet at a reasonable price, and dinners where very good.. We even watched the fireworks on the Canadian side.. Would certainly return as this hotel is very easy to get to, and easy to get to your shopping destinations :)

“Good for one night stay close to falls”

This is a good place very close to the Niagara Falls for an overnight stay. The hotel is just stone's throw from the American falls. There is nothing else near the hotel but Falls was all we wanted and we good that.

“Comfort Holiday. Will Stay if visit the Area again”

I read the other customer reviews before I booked this hotel. There was a couple reviews that the hotel was a mess. However, in my experience, those messes have been cleaned up. The hotel is very comfortable and I do like it. Especially its location that is like 5 minutes from the american falls. I do recommend this hotel for the other travelers to Niagara Falls.

“close to the Falls”

Nice hotel close to the Falls and the bridge to Canada. The pool was a little cold but the kids used the hot tub to pre-warm themselves. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

walk across to Canadian side at night to see the lit up Falls. the "cave under the falls" tour isn't actually under the falls but well worth getting wet to get a close up view of the power of the Falls.

“A for location, D for cleanliness”

This hotel was one of the closest to the Falls on the US side. We were able to walk everywhere, even just a short walk across the border to Canada. Located in a nice quaint neighborhood, just minutes from the Niagara park. Customer service was great, from the front desk to conceirge, to the quick cafe shop in the lobby. I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels, but the cleanliness definitely left something to be desired. All the sheets, blankets and towels were stained, and the wood floors were sticky. Ewww! There is a lot of construction and improvement going on, so it might be improved by next year. If we had to do it again, we would definitely stay in a hotel on the Canada side! There is much more to do and it is much better kept.

Getting around

The "210" bus will take you from the Buffalo Airport to Niagara Falls for $1.75 per person! Otherwise, you would have to take a taxi, which could cost around $70! Make sure to bring change if you are crossing the border from US to Canada. There is a $.50 toll per person to cross back into the US.
