“Loved it; we'll be back.”

The Victorian Ladies is a wonderful B&B with great rooms and an attentive staff. Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Onsite parking is a plus. The location is close to the mansion district and is ideal.

“perfect spot”

went to newport for a wedding. had been there many times before, but this time wanted something a little out of the bustle, but still within walking distance to everything. this was perfect. it was extremely charming, clean, quiet, very friendly, had its own parking, was a 5 minute walk to the cliff walk and beach, had great room amenities, and left us very satisfied. breakfast was a lot of food, too, more than we could eat. I would definately stay there again.

“Best Valentine's Day B&B you could hope for”

My partner and I spent our first Valentine's Day in Newport 7 years ago, and this is our third - and best - return. These people know how to please - not just a mature couple like us, but nice twenty-somethings, too. We are established B&B travelers - we spent 2-1/2 weeks in Italy last year, hitting 9 TripAdvisor B&Bs and agriturismos, and many more in the USA. Italian B&B people really know how to make their guests welcome - but none could surpass the Victorian Ladies people. Reserve - enjoy - then write your own rave review!

Must see
Oracle chairman Larry Elison purchased the Newport mansion famed for its character actors who lead tours - and allowed photographs. So I was bummed out when I discovered the Newport Trust that runs the remaining ones forbid photography inside the mansions. I enjoy studying the photographs of fine places, researching the art and furniture - and felt ripped off when we entered the Breakers, the home of the Vanderbilts. But a terrific docent made the tour enjoyable, despite my need to focus intensely on what I could see but not photograph. The Breakers is spectacular. Your must see it. Less spectacular was the Elms, the summer home of a Philadelphia coal executive with much less taste. Part of the problem was a lesser docent, who wasn't as well informed as the one at the Breakers. Marble House is extraordinary. A must see. Like the Elms, an architectural and artistic mish-mash that works where the Elms fails. Mansions are a key attraction of Newport - make them a part of your Newport experience.

Our stay was nothing but wonderful! Charming Victorian style b&b with very gracious hosts and staff. The rooms were small but clean and the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great!

“A Newport Favorite”

The staff was very polite, helpful and accomodating. The breakfast was excellant, better than we expected. The location is very accesible to all the attractions, yet far enough away from the bar scene so as not to be noisy. Beutiful hotel, nice property, they did agood job and I would recommend them.

“More wonderful than I expected”

This was a delightful place. The bedrooms in the Inn were done in the time period of the house. We stayed in the Leopold and Victoria rooms. Both were very roomy and had everything you needed for your stay. The Victoria had a small deck with a water pond right off the deck. It was early October and the leaves and cool air made this a great time be in New England. The inn was on a main street and easy to find. The Inn keepers were so kind and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Each morning they had a gorgeous breakfast and at 5:00 p.m. they had High Tea (freshly baked cookies and variety of hot teas). I would not hesitate making plans to stay at this beautiful inn.

Area recommendations
All of the New England area. This region is so great with history and very nice people happy to help you in your trip and advice on what to see.
Traveller's tip
Mush see the Mansions in Newport. The town is so beautiful and full of history. The church that President Kennedy and Jackie got married is something to see.

“Fantastic B&B”

The owners of this hotel make sure your stay is enjoyable. They make every effort to ensure you know what is going on locally, the places to visit and the good resturants. Afternoon tea is provided in the lounge where you get to know your fellow guests. The rooms are very neat and tidy. You can see why this B&B was voted the best B&B in Newport on eight occasions.

Traveller's tip
Visit the local mansions. A ticket to 5 mansions cost about $33 and this includes either an audio or guided tour.
