“Newpor Lover”
We visit Newport frequently and this is a find. Our room was like a luxury apartment. Only a continental breakfast but it was so beautiful that you forgot that- kitchen facilities to make your own if you were that hungry. would definitely go back!
“Amazing hotel and excellent location”
We arrived early and hadn't confirmed with the hotel - check was at 3pm unless otherwise arranged. However, it was no problem to check in earlier than expected. The room, or should I say apartment!, was very clean and very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was bagels, pastries and juice, with coffee and tea available all day. We were a stone's throw from Bowens' Pier with shops and restaurants and the main shopping area. The visitors' centre was a 10 minute walk for organised tours. I must say its the best visitors centre we've seen! All in all, a great place to stay.
“Newport's Best Hotel!”
The Pelham Court Hotel was a beautiful Hotel in the heart of downtown Newport. The room was beautiful! The staff so friendly and accomidating. The hotel lis located right in the heart of Newport. You can walk to restaraunts and shopping. One of the most convient and friendly places I have ever stayed in! Not to mention simply beautiful!
“Terrible service, bad couch”
Lovely suites, yes. Uncomfortable couch for sleeping--pulled out is worse. Unstaffed/surly staffed. Breakfast late, and if a box of Wheaties and a banana is your thing, or some pastries out of a box, then you're good to go. One single-cup coffee maker for the whole place. Coffee mate only until the milk gets put out. Otherwise, very good.
“Pelham Court Newport RI 2 Thumb's Up!!”
We stayed there in August and had one of the best studio suite's that I have ever stayed in. Everything was top notch, especially loved the location. The place made my stay in Newport an extremely pleasurable one!
“Perfect Location, Great Value”
My husband and I had an amazing stay at Pelham Court Hotel. I almost didn't book it, because I thought the price, location, and reviews were "too good to be true." Boy was I wrong!! Our studio room was extremely spacious, beautifully decorated, and right across the street from Bannister's Wharf. Very convenient to restaurants, bars, and LOTS of shopping. Also, the staff was gracious and breakfast is comparable to other B&B's we stayed at in New England.
“Best place to stay in Newport”
Our family has visited Newport several times over the past few summers and have stayed at different B&B's or hotels each time. This small boutique hotel is hands down the best secret in town. It is walking distance to the wharf area market places, shopping, dining being only one block back...... and just a quick drive down the street to visit the mansions on Bellevue, the Cliff Walk and the beaches. We have two kids (ages 14 and 8) and got a one bedroom suite which was perfect. It was charming, cozy and well appointed (nicely furnished, small kitchen with stainless appliances and granite) and hardwood floors. It felt like we were at home and not in a hotel. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with bagels, muffins, fruit etc.. but if you want a more substantial breakfast there's several places a block away to eat (including Starbucks). Even though it is so close to the active marketplace, it was extremely quiet. When we come back again next year, we'll definitely stay there again.
“Nice place”
The Pelham Court in Newport is a convenient place to stay in Newport...right in the middle of everything. We parked our car and walked to the Mansions, Cliff Walk and all restaurants and shops. Pelham is a new or newly re-modeled hotel. My only complaint would be that they clean the floors between guests , maybe they need an additonal cleaning staff. I would return, as the price is right and you can't beat the location...oh nice cont. breakfast every AM and a Keurig coffee maker is available 24/7
“Excellent choice for a short or long stay in Newport RI”
Lots of room. I suspect parking could be an issue if the hotel had more guests. We were later than we had scheduled but the office was staffed when we arrived. It was a bit difficult for us to find in the dark. The main street below the hotel is one way, but it changes that direction near the hotel. Room was large - full kitchen with living room space that includes a gas fireplace and television. Bed was queen size and the tiled bathroom was very nice. Cookies and a coffee machine in the hallway outside our door. Breakfast was placed in our room prior to arrival and included cereal, pastries, fruit, juice, milk. More food than we normally eat for breakfast. Would consider staying again. Having stayed in the one bedroom unit, I would be hesitant to move down to the studio type unit.
“Awesome Hotel!! Best room ever!”
his hotel was more like a Luxurious Apartment! Were do I start. Beautiful hardwood floors with Oriental rugs greet you as you walk in. WOW! The kitchen was like a picture from a magazine! All stainless appliances, granite counter tops, Custom cabinets to die for! The furnishings were all antique. The bathroom was stone and marble and just AWESOME! We only stayed for one night as a get away but could have moved in very easily. Also the winter rate was a great deal. If you are planning a trip to Newport the Pelham Court Hotel is a MUST stay!
