“Budget hotel”

This one has a small indoor pool and a hot tub, free breakfast buffet, decently sized rooms and good location for families at decent price.

“Nice place to stay for the weekend!”

It was a nice stay with friendly service and comfortable beds. I really liked how they have a dvd player in the room, fridge and microwave. Most hotels dont accomadate those things. The decor could use some updates, but overall a nice place to stay for the weekend.

“Great Value!”

This hotel had everything we wanted - it was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very professional and friendly. The kids loved the pool and the continental breakfast, especially the pancake maker. I found the location very convenient with a variety of resturaunts nearby and easy access to Newport and the Navy Base.

“Breakfast Buffet disappointing. Juice watered down.”

People helpful. Could hear noise in next room and in the hall. Breakfast Buffet is awful. No flavor in any of juices. Eggs were watery.

“Reasonable Hotel, easy drive from Newport”

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Newport which would be a known quantity. The Holiday Inn Express in Middletown turned out to be it. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable and had a full size fridge and a microwave. Free WIFI was available in the room using a voucher issued by reception. The bed was a little firm for my liking, but huge. The complimentary breakfast was not the greatest, but would probably be perfectly adequate for most people. Orange juice that didn't appear to be made from powder would have been a huge improvement. Newport itself was an easy drive from the hotel - just a few minutes away. Not sure how it would have been in peak-time traffic as I didn't try. On the whole, the hotel suited our needs perfectly and we were quite happy with it for what we paid.

“Good deal”

We just stayed at this hotel. Typical Holiday Inn. Rooms were clean. We had a problem with the air conditioner in our room and they qucikly gave us another one. Good value easily half the cost of staying in Newport and you are about ten minutes away. Noisy hallways due to guests being loud as them come and go.

“probably not”

i do not understand what the percentage is, in having non english speaking staff at the most important station of a hotel (front desk). i made a phone call to inquire what time i might be able to have a cup of coffee in the bkfst area and the response was yes. i could not make the associate understand my question. that same evening i could not get another employee to give me change(the hotel does not provide water) she did not understand.

“Outside Newport, but close enough”

Conveniently close to Newport Harbor and the mansions. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I was surprised by the nice amenities -- pool workout room -- and would stay there again
