A beautiful old hotel but a little worn round the edges, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a building of this age. The staff were all, without exception, very friendly and extremely helpful. If you want modern bathrooms and perfect interiors this hotel is not for you. But if you prefer huge rooms (both bedroom and bathroom were probably the largest we've ever stayed in at any hotel) with lots of character and staff who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay you will adore this hotel. The restaurant food is very good too. Great breakfast which was freshly cooked to order.
It was fabulous. It was like staying in a mansion with the most amazing rooms. For one, there's actually lighting fixtures installed in the ceiling rather than relying on lamps like most hotels do. The rooms are very spacious and cozy with nicely decorated furniture and appliances. The restaurant is fantastic as well, it's like having a 5 star restaurant right under your feet at your disposal. Honestly, I had a great stay there and I would book my room with Paddock's House again if I were to go back.

Slight hiccup on arrival. We booked 2 rooms for four people. On arrival were advised that 1 couple was booked to stay in pub but other couple had to stay down the road in owners property. We were not advised prior to arrival therefore were not happy to do this. But with a bit of juggling and help from Ken the owner we were all able to stay in pub together. Ken and Ginny were extremely friendly and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
This was our first experience of the apartments. The flexibility shown by members of staff on duty at the time of arrival was excellent - in our case my Wife found it easier to stay on the ground floor as the steps to the first floor (for her) proved quite steep. Not a problem for more abled persons
Everything was explained and we felt immediately at home.
The only issue I would bring to their attention was the occasional noise during the morning as people came in via the side gate. Everything else was very good and most of all, we look forward to going back for long weekends in future.
