A beautiful old hotel but a little worn round the edges, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a building of this age. The staff were all, without exception, very friendly and extremely helpful. If you want modern bathrooms and perfect interiors this hotel is not for you. But if you prefer huge rooms (both bedroom and bathroom were probably the largest we've ever stayed in at any hotel) with lots of character and staff who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay you will adore this hotel. The restaurant food is very good too. Great breakfast which was freshly cooked to order.
Slight hiccup on arrival. We booked 2 rooms for four people. On arrival were advised that 1 couple was booked to stay in pub but other couple had to stay down the road in owners property. We were not advised prior to arrival therefore were not happy to do this. But with a bit of juggling and help from Ken the owner we were all able to stay in pub together. Ken and Ginny were extremely friendly and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Arrived around 5pm to a warm reception from both owners a husband and wife team. The B&B is a stone building converted with four separate rooms for guests which meant easy access direct to your room from outside. The decor was immaculate and very tastefully done. Room was equally nice with very modern en suite. We ate in Newmarket which is very close although there is a highly recommended gastro pub nearby. Breakfast was served in another beautifully decorated room with nice views of the garden and neighbouring farm. The breakfast itself was a work of art. Very friendly owners.

The owner was very helpful and did everything she could to make our stay an enjoyable one. The bed was orthopedic and very comfortable. It was a shame that the room wasn't en-suite but there's only two rooms so it's not a problem sharing. Breakfast was delicious!
Stayed for the races at Newmarket , was lovely place to stay , had a 4poster room and it had its own private garden , room was light and roomy very clean with French doors out to the private garden . Staff were more than helpful and could have breakfast what ever time you wanted we had it at 11.15 as had a lay in . Would defiantly stay again and recommend it
