Can't wait to go back !

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: We wanted a quiet room, got one, restaurant staff were lovely happy & helpful as were hotel staff, I loved the spa & fab staff there & the gym , FAB
Cons: Our check in clerk was off hand and rushed info, we were in the annex & I cant walk far, she didnt tell us the cut through the diner, saved 4 stair
Location: Continued from above. Flights and 500metres and the lift was broken for approx 1hr, and it was a very complicated journey otherwise and on crutches
My hubby and I came to the hotel for our anniversary, it was easy to find abd had a lot in the vicinity , like a cinema and restaurants supermarket etc. We used the facilities had spa treatments, facial and body wrap and the spa was very relaxing and accomodating even had sunday appointments which I've hardly ever found available I totally loved the spa and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, I especially loved the fact that the products they used as they are a natural range, which I think is important. The disappointing thing was the gym was being refurbished and only a small makeshift one was in use, there were no weight machines and only limited bikes , rowers etc and this was one of the things we particularly wanted to use, but didn't spoil things too much, as we used the lovely pool . There were loungers, steam room hot tub etc and my particular favourite there was water weights and woggles , I only found this as a gym member asked for them, so I did too and could I wish I'd known this on the first day and not the last, I'm hoping this info will be useful to like minded users. We ate in the italian restaurant on site, it was a fab meal , we had room service from the pub one night, the food wasn't exactly as the menu described and for 2 philly steak sandwiches ( each one only had 4 small bits of steak in no peppers onions or cream cheese), and a scone with melted squirty cream & 2 teas was over £35 defo not worth it, was very disappointing, oder wisely.

Good facilities

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Pros: Dog-friendly, plenty of parking, close to open park land, swimming pool, integral pub serving food
Cons: Attitude of breakfast staff - those breakfasting last should receive the same standard of service as those breakfasting first
Location: Our visit was based around a hospital appointment so had little time to explore. Hotel has well placed for visiting Newcastle.
A Pets Welcome policy was intrinsic to our stay. Room was comfortable and clean, although having asked for two singles we were actually provided with one double - too tired on arrival to ask for a change. Found the Victory pub very useful for an evening meal and the use of the swimming pool made our stay more special. Park land opposite was great for walking the dog and unwinding after a long drive. Our first breakfast experience was disappointing as we were asked to sit at a previously used and dirty table. I am surprised that a member of staff felt it was acceptable to make such a poor decision. We then had to scavange for a full set of cutlery from other tables. We were advised that coffee and tea would be brought but were not. Only after seeking out a different member of staff were we then provided with tea and two mugs. We were left to scavange the milk from another table again. After mentioning this to Reception we had a much improved experienced the following day - and the food was excellent.

Ideal place for ppl visiting Cobalt Business Park

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: Peaceful stay away from city noise.
Cons: The breakfast options
Nice hotel in the heart of Cobalt Business Park. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The added advantage is dining and eating options available at the site.

Pleasant stay.

Pros: Leisure facilities were excellent.
Cons: Ranges of food on offer.
Location: Good location for all things to do.
Everything was good apart from our meal at the Italian restaurant, mix up with our order which kept us waiting for over half an hour. Not enough choice in either restaurants.

Decent Hotel

No complaints, has everything you need, would rank as 3.5 star rather than a 4 star
