“Tiger Tiger”

We arrived early from a long distance and they accommodated us immediately. Staff were very friendly but not over powering. The breakfast lived up to expectations and was good value for money and we would go back to this hotel again when visiting Newcastle.

“VERY GOOD VALUE”

Excellent value hotel. Lovely new room with big LCD TV. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. 100% recommend. Try to book rooms 1-3 if possible as new. About 20min walk from Newcastle central or 5 mins walk from Gateshead Metro, which is 2 stops from Newcastle Centre

“Exactly what i paid for and expected.”

I was running the Great North Run and i booked this hotel as it was one of the few places with rooms available.I read the negative reviews on Tripadvisor and was expecting the worst. The place more than met my expectations. You get what you pay for.I got a clean room and bathroom,a comfy bed and a good breakfast.I would have been unhappy if i was paying 5 star prices, but for what i paid it was good value.I have travelled the world and stayed in 5 star hotels and the most dingy places imaginable. The Bewick more than met my expectations. The place didn't smell as was mentioned in some of the reviews. The welcome was a typical friendly northern one so people expecting a gushing american style welcome will be disappointed.

“Value for money hotel and friendly owner”

Bedroom was freshly decorated, although would benefit from having a couple of chairs. The bathroom was large and modern.

“just ok”

Pleasant enough, not as clean as all our other accomodation, but ok. Just waiting for Basil Faulty to appear though

“Just okay, but decent value”

This hotel was just okay. Slightly worn, although very clean.
