Very central

Cons: Not too keen on the frosted glass door for the bathroom (I like my privacy), I think the opaque glass used for the walls would have been a better idea
Location: Ideal for shopping, pubs, train station also the Quayside is not far either
Great hotel and only 5 - 10 mins walk from the train station (depending on how fast you walk) and considering it is close to the main road it wasn't that noisy, breakfast was excellent with plenty of options...they even lend you a brolly if it's raining ☔️

Affordable, functional and comfy

Posted 20-Nov-2014
Pros: I liked the way it seemed to have been well thought through: smaller rooms, but well-planned out and with good quality fittings.
Cons: Hot chocolate would have been a nice addition to the drinks options.
Location: It's a 10 minute walk to Gateshead across the bridge, which gives great views of the city. Recommend the Head of Steam pubs - good ale choice!
Budget hotels can be a risky choice or an expected compromise. I didn't know what to expect from Sleeperz but I felt the compromise I made for the affordable price was negligible. The room was well laid out and space maximised - I particularly liked the hanging rail and open shelving unit in lieu of a wardrobe, which must have left scope in the developers' budget for very a comfy mattress and duvet. The wet room was excellent, with lots of hot water and efficient drainage, and the towels were much larger than you usually get in a hotel. And they provided mugs - good-sized mugs! - for tea and coffee, an added bonus. Staff were friendly, the bar was open all night and the noise of the trains outside my window was quieter than what I'm used to back in London. My room was perfect for my needs: hot shower, fluffy towels, comfy bed, late night drink and very close to the train station. If you're looking for a wing chair and a full-sized bath, this isn't the place for you. But the large flat-screen TV might make up for it.

Good city centre hotel

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Free Wifi, friendly staff, good price.
Cons: I didn't like the glass bathroom door at all!
The hotel was clean, staff were really friendly and helfpul, the breakfast was good. The room was a little compact, but I was amazed at how quiet the hotel was. Having stayed in Newcastle before and been kept awake by noise, I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of disturbance, even being so close to the railway line!

Nice hotel!

Posted 07-Oct-2014
We were down for the night and the staff couldn't be friendlier! The room was spacious, had a lovely view over newcastle and even though it was right next to train station, the noise was little. The only downside was the cleaner knocking at 9.45am and opening the door when we weren't due to check out until 11am.

One night stay prior to a wedding.

Posted 04-Oct-2014
Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean, large room and a good, self-service continental and full English breakfast available.
Cons: The bed was not the most comfortable but perfectly acceptable for the price. I'm also not keen on wet rooms but that's just a personal preference.
Location: Fantastic location, 5 minutes walk from Newcastle Central station and 10 minutes from the bars and restaurants of Quayside.
Stayed on the Friday night to attend a drinks party on Quayside prior to transferring to Matfen Hall on the Saturday for the wedding. The staff at reception were very friendly as were most of the guests - it's obviously popular with people much younger than me. Overall, thoroughly recommended.
