Superb location. Very quiet rook

Posted 18-May-2015
Despite being allocated a room directly opposite the hotel lift, it was soooo quiet. Bed was really comfortable, room extremely clean, and hotel staff very helpful. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk and a good hairdryer. Minor (and only very minor) niggles were that the shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were difficult to extract from the narrow tubes and the shower tended to flood the bathroom floor if it was set to full power. That aside, would definitely return.

Nice hotel and looks good inside and outside

Posted 06-May-2015
It was amazing time and the hotel looked, amazing inside and outside, the room was good and looked good but kind of smaller then expected but still good and the bed is comfortable but one pillow was hard and uncomfortable. Food was ok and get a lot but it can be a it pricey and like the idea of the microwave in the room but would be good if the plates would fit in the microwave

first stay in newcastle

Posted 05-May-2015
Pros: good locaton for city - clean - good staff
Cons: the rooms need T-L-C ( a bit worn ) junior suites small not worth the cost -go for a standard room
Location: close to city centre and metro
good hotel but -not 4 star- good location- lots of traffic noise - needs some T-L-C then it could be 4 star

This was not a suite. Room way too small

Posted 05-May-2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: If you pay extra for a suite you should get a suite. Not a bedroom with a fridge and microwave in. I've been in bigger women
It is not acceptable to put a partition through a bedroom, stick a small sofa in the corner of the new partitioned section and call the room a suite. It was tiny - so small that glass sliding doors had to be used to access bathroom and partitioned area as a normal door would not have space to open. Bathroom was form over function and décor was twee. May as well stay in a Premier Inn

Tiny room

Posted 24-Feb-2015 on Hotels.com
Great hotel, top location just a short walk from the City, however we were disappointed by the room. We booked a Executive King Suite, and it was tiny, for the price we paid we were disappointed - can't imagine what the basic rooms were like.

Decent hotel in a good location

Posted 09-Feb-2015 on Hotels.com
Hotel is in a good location for a night out just off the Gate and right outside St James' Park. The room looked like it had been recently renovated which was good, but didn't quite feel finished as the plaster on the ceiling and walls still looked wet. After we checked in band got the lift to our floor we were greeted by a stray mattress just left in the hallway which we had to squeeze past and looked very untidy. All in all though, a decent nights sleep in a good location.

Externally a nice building with pleasent staff

Posted 03-Feb-2015
Pros: Its external look and the staff were polite and helpful.
Cons: Sound proofing, a heater that works and get the housekeeping supervisor to check all rooms and bathrooms.
Location: Its within walking distance of most amenities.
The hotel is conveninetly situated close to the town centre although the car park is across the road you can buy a overnight pass for £8 and £3 per day on a Sunday. It was such a shame that a good looking hotel so central gave such a bad night sleep. The room was cold despite having the radiator on it was freezing. I was kept awake most of the night with external sounds of sirens and other guests shouting until 4.30am. The bathroom was equiped with past guests hair which was not appreciated. There was a lively sports bar in the reception and the fake fire looks impressive from the outside. Although it does look good we have made a decision not to stay there again.
