Great location

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: Both the location and the friendly and helpful nature of all staff
Cons: Only one hiccup - requested light bulb change at beginning our our week's holidays still not attended to by end of the holiday.
Location: Train station nearby, LIFE stadium nearby and plenty of bars and restaurants
My sister and I spent a week at this hotel from 16 September to 23 September and throughout the whole week we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was ever a bother or problem. We loved the location as it was only a few minutes from the central station and only (taking a slow walk) 15 minutes to the town hub-bub of Northumberland Street. We are looking at going back next year and have no hesitation in booking this hotle again.

Reasonable, well located good place for city visit

Posted 28-Sep-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Room a bit hot and turning down radiator made little impact
Location: Near ano ugh to walk to all city attractions
Stayed with my son to attend a university open day. Hotel well located - close enough to walk to city centre but away from the noise. Room perfectly adequate and decent breakfast. Reasonable value for money. I would stay again.

Looks the part.

Whistley window. Dodgy lock on the door. Really bad "free wifi" which you have to pay for if you want a better experience. Bar staff were very friendly but the reception staff were a bit up themselves.

Great hotel for the city.

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: Clean, quiet, staff were great, and helpful.
Cons: Perhaps a cheaper smaller breakfast for us oldies,71. Tea and toast is a bit expensive.
Location: Handy for everything. Superb position.
A bit difficult to find, but we'll worth the effort. Staff very good , efficient, and friendly. Restaurant very good, the only minus being our bathroom was not as clean as you would expect, we didn't make a fuss,as we were only there for two nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would have no qualms about using it again ourselves. Excellent.

This is a budget hotel near a city centre. It does the job - decent bed, good service.

Nice but an awful weekend

Posted 12-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
Lovely hotel spoiled by the location being close to seedy nightspots and gangs of hens and stag parties at the weekend. Far too many things going on that you don't want your kids to see.

Brilliant city centre hotel

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: They could ensure the fire alarm doesnt go off at 7.30am!
Location: Brilliant, 2 minutes from the train station, 20 seconds to the car park, in the middle of town, perfect for eating out, pubs, clubs and shopping.
Stayed for 2 nights on a city break, friendly staff, brilliant room, modern, clean and great condition.

No problems

Breakfast buffet was good. Rooms were clean, and adequate - they made a big deal about being spacious on the website, and that 2 adults and 2 kids could fit comfortably. In truth it's a bit of a squeeze, but in all honesty we expected that. Staff were always really helpful, especially helping my wife sort out parking at the nearby car park when she arrived with the kids. The rooms were uncomfortably warm though, and opening the window let in the sounds of Newcastle city centre on a weekend, so a bit of a catch-22 there.

Well equipped, modern hotel in great location.

Posted 28-Jun-2014
Pros: Great location, very clean, a good-sized modern bathroom and friendly, accommodating staff.
Location: The hotel was a short walk from the train station AND was well situated for walking around Newcastle to take in the major attractions & waterfront.
A good night's sleep in a comfy bed. Overall, an enjoyable stay
