Close to Metro Arena and Life Centre

Posted 24-Feb-2015
Pros: Proximity to restaurants and shopping.
Cons: Updating
Location: Close to all attractions such as Metro Arena, Life Centre, Theatre Royal and Eldon Square shopping. All a short walk away.
Nice hotel but room a bit dated. Had problem with leaking radiator in room but was dealt with efficiently by very pleasant staff. Close to all attractions, restaurants and shopping.

The reception girls were the best..

Posted 18-Feb-2015
Pros: The staff
Cons: Price of Lucozade sport
Location: Location is amazing
Stayed for business and the staff made it easy. One issue.. being from London I have never paid over £3 for a lucozade sport! I thought I was over charged!

Twin room for 1 night

Posted 01-Feb-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was a bit bland - it would have been nice to have had a biscuit for tea/ coffee.
Location: Metro arena, newcastle train station
One night stay in twin room - good location for metro arena - car parking close by (£7 per night). Clean, warm, tea and coffee provided. Would recommend if attending an event at area or shopping in Newcastle.

Noisey guests and very slow service in restaurant

Posted 01-Feb-2015
Pros: Clean, good value for money. Food was ok pub grub. breakfast better than dinner.
Cons: Service in bar / restaurant was so slow - staff training required including training for supervisor Sound proofing between rooms
Location: Close to city centre / arena
Restaurant service was chaos - lack of attention and communication between staff. Took 25mins for drinks to arrive then some were missing ( we only ordered 4). Breakfast better as buffet. We were woken at 2.30am by drunk guests coming in ( mid-week ). Heard every word through walls - luckily they shut up after 15 mins but I always travel with ear plugs! Could hear lots of other doors slamming on floor above / below also at various points in evening.

Great location for Arena

Posted 21-Jan-2015
Couldnt fault the hotel or staff but we were given a room with inter connecting door. The noise from next room all night was terrible. After suffering this for 4 hrs i rang reception at 4 o clock and they said they would send someone to speak to them. Apart from this the hotel and location to the Arena was brilliant
