Good Hotel

Pros: The evening meal ie. steak was fantastic and restaurant staff very helpful.
Cons: The breakfast - ie. scrambled egg and coffee was not very hot at all - a bit disappointing but the rest of it was very nice.
Location: The location was fine as this was for a works function so did not get to do anything near by.
Nice hotel but very expensive parking ie. 12 pounds per one night stay, which is quite a bit extra on top of your hotel stay and no hand soap provided in the room itself, apart from that we would certainly stay again.

If you are going on a business trip to NCL for a short stay, this hotel is close to some nice restaurants. Hotel is comfortable, staff is not one of the best but OK.

The hotel staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. We booked through Expedia, who did not send the reservation properly to the hotel. They missed out breakfast but the hotel staff sorted this out without much fuss.

Pros: Its location near the Sage couldn't be better. The views are fabulous.
Cons: Make check out an hour earlier, at 1pm, so guests can check in at 2 instead of 3pm in case they have to go to a performance at the Sage at 3.30pm
Location: Wonderfully close to the Sage, Millennium bridge and Baltic centre.
Staying in an executive room, we had a great view of the Tyne bridge. The executive lounge was comfortable and had the same beautiful view. Shame, therefore, that there is a 'meanness' about this Hilton. Snacks are just two bowls of nuts and rice crackers. Tea in the lounge meant some unappetising scones were served. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable we've ever had in a hotel, due to the hard pillows and mattress. Perhaps this is what Northerners like, but we did not. As for breakfast in the main dining area downstairs, we had probably the worst scrambled eggs of all time. The dish, almost finished, had congealed and should have been replaced. But no staff was around to check. And while they look for improvement, there is no need for mindless pop music playing in public areas. Just turn it off and let us enjoy the view.

Stunning hotel views of Newcastle, amazingly helpful staff and only 2 minutes walk across to the Quayside. A great location and lovely Hilton.

ketchup stains on the carpet !!!

Pros: the lobby was nice and big , the fitness center was good as well
Cons: room cleaning , room cleaning and room cleaning
the room was big & comfort ,, but when it come to the room cleaning , i think they had a problems , 4 stains in the middle of the carpet ( ketchup and somthing else ) the stains were big and clear , i have no idea how the cleaning room staff couldn't see them .

Didn't sleep at all well due to the traffic close to the the hotel Maybe a room on the back side would have been better for us. Otherwise, no complaints about the room and the staff; the usual Hilton high standards.
