Shopping and restaurant stay.

Pros: Spacious & modern rooms great staff deffenatly a four star
Cons: Guest should not pay for parking or a reduced rate
Location: Great for bars restaurant Sunday market
This is our second visit at the Hilton and we where not disappointed. Fabulous rooms lots of space modern throughout room & hotel, lovely staff well trained. Fantastic location for shopping and night life. Definatly be going back soon.

Pros: Foyer impressive. Staff pleasant and respond appropriately to concerns. Comfortable room with good view. Important to have a bath provided.
Cons: Clean the windows. Provide hot plates and keep breakfast bar food much hotter. Provide free WI-fi in rooms. Reduce parking charge.
Location: Leave your car in the car park. See the Sage and the Baltic nearby. Shop at the Metro Centre. Visit the Hancock museum and Laing art gallery.
We always enjoy our stays here. The staff are pleasant and professional. The Tyne views are exceptional. We are moderately fit and walked in to Newcastle and back quite easily. Room is comfortable. We took advantage of an offer for free in- room wi-fi for Hilton members and would appreciate this as standard in future. The car park is quite expensive but worth it, as it is quite possible to travel by bus for the whole of the stay. Our breakfast was a disappointment,but the staff responded appropriately to our justifiable complaints.

Cons: need hair dryer in the room
Location: great location right next to the quayside went to a pub for breakfast because hotel was too expensive
great area to be in, lovely hotel shame there wasnt a dair dryer in the room, also was up in the night because of the fire alarms going off, but safety comes first.

Great Hotel with great view

This was a lovely hotel, great location and good service. Everything you would expect from a Hilton. Good buffet breakfast with lots of choice, did not use the restaurant as it was fully booked, but it had lovely views of the Tyne bridge.

Nice hotel with room for improvement

Pros: Excellent River View
Cons: Room maintenance - my room had a strange smell in the bathroom and the shower head was leaking badly therefore I had to use the bath instead.
The hotel offers different rooms at similar rates, my advice is to pay the extra for a room with a riverside view. I paid an extra £20.00 for an upgrade for two nights and the room difference was extraordinary. I was disappointed with the level of service on the front desk upon check in, the staff seemed very uninterested and almost irritated by my presence. In contrast the bar and room service staff were very courteous and polite.

Nice hotel but awful bed

Pros: It was generally clean and the staff were polite.
Cons: The mattress, pillows and smell in the room.
Location: Very convenient for the Sage.
The hotel was very nice and the room (ground floor room2) clean and well presented but he bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress and the pillows had seen better days and really needed replacing. It was very difficult to get any sleep as the mattress was hard in some places, soft in others and creaky when you moved. The air-conditioning fan was noisy and when it was turned off there was a smell. This was particularly noticeable during the night. I wondered if pets had been in the room at some time previously as the smell reminded me of stale urine. I left much earlier in the morning than planned and complained to receptionist about the above. He was polite and apologised and waived the overnight car parking fee as I was disappointed about the quality of the stay . I said I did not intend staying again but was told that if I did come back to lease mention that this first stay had been disappointing.

Stains on carpet, sink in bathroom really lose room condition was old. Didn't think it was worth a 100 pounds for a night.

Ultra modern hotel, very clean, great views, great service, fast check in and check out, what more can you ask. Not all my reviews are this good!
