“Quite clean and cozy guest house”

It's slightly out of City centre. But it only takes 6-7 quids and less than 10 mins to go to the centre. The room I stayed in was pretty clean. Every decor of the room showed excellent taste of the hotel's proprietor.

“Spot On!”

I booked into the hotel at last notice due to the weather & I couldn't have found a better place to stay if I'd paid twice as much! End of, book with confidence - very friendly & welcoming.

“Recommended”

Highly recommended hotel, very good service I always came back to fresh linen, a vacuumed carpet and replenished teabags, coffee etc. Exceptional value including a generous breakfast. Frequent buses stop a few minutes walk away and then 5 minutes into town.

“Good location and friendly owners”

i would recommend this B&B - good location, and nice breakfast. The owners were really helpful giving us directons, info on buses etc Our room was a little cramped and no shower (bath only) but it was fine for the price and a short stay.

“Hübsches, kleines Hotel abseits des Stadtzentrums”

Wer in Newcastle nicht mitten in der Stadt wohnen möchte und nicht unbedingt große Hotels bevorzugt, dem könnte das kleine, aber feine Clifton House Hotel gefallen. Mir hat das Haus sehr zugesagt, weil es ruhig gelegen ist und weil sich die Inhaberin sehr große Mühe gibt, ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Mein Zimmer ist herrlich geräumig und sauber gewesen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr traditionell (viktorianisch), was seinen Charme hat. Der große offene Kamin im Speisezimmer verbreitet eine wohlige Atmosphäre beim Frühstück. Zur nächsten Bushaltestelle ist es nicht weit, von dort aus gelangt man für kleines Geld innerhalb weniger Minuten ins Stadtzentrum.

Area recommendations
Die Innenstadt von Newcastle ist ein Muss für jeden Besucher der Gegend. Dort fasziniert die Mischung aus Ruinen und neuen Gebäuden wie dem großen Einkaufszentrum mitten in der Stadt. Dort gibt es sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, auch zahlreiche ausgezeichnete Restaurants sind in der Stadt zu finden. Wer Naturbeobachtungen mag, sollte sich den Red Kite Trail (Rotmilan-Wanderweg) bei Winlaton Mill nicht entgehen lassen und diese 18 Kilometer lange Strecke zumindest teilweise erkunden.
