I couldn't work out how to phone from one room to another which was a little frustrating at the time. I resorted to communicating via mobile phone. The rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet. Our bathroom was enormous. The general decor and setting was very pleasant. I love the older buildings. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I didn't have breakfast there but other family members did and said it was very good. We only spent one night there but I would be happy to return. The car park had plenty of parking spaces.
Myself and my husband treat ourselves to a weekend away at least once twice a year and one of the places we always come back to after hours of web searching is this hotel , the staff are really friendly and polite the location is good and the food is delicious always fresh and hot and good quality , the rooms are clean and very large. I would say if I was being picky that the bar prices are on the high side but as it's a treat we don't mind paying them I was a little disappointed this time round that when I did go to the bar for a prosecco I was told they had none left ? but still the wine was nice they did have.
But overall as usual a great stay and would and have recommend this hotel .
I stayed three nights and loved it! The tap dripped in my bathroom, I nearly fell down a step due to poor lighting and yet... Biscuits and hot chocolate in the room, a good wine choice and excellent food - the lamb tagine with couscous was delightful. I stayed alone yet had some lively conversations with locals, guests and staff.
