On a crisp January day we arrived in the late afternoon, checked into our restfully but exquisitely furnished suite, shown off with great flair by Dan, and enjoyed a brisk walk around the vineyard.
By then were ready to indulge in a drink, sourced from our winery visits, in front of the fire in our room. Bliss - but more was to come- a magnificent meal in Jory restaurant, enhanced by Daniel Santos's special service. We were so pleased we took up chef Travis's suggestion to return the next evening and sit at the kitchen bar, and watch the superbly designed and out-fitted kitchen work so cohesively ( and sample morsels of courses being prepared in addition to our order, as well as gain insight into the executive chef's methods of creating food magic through the whole team!)
No wonder everyone we met before our stay told us how much we'd love being at The Allison -a visit shopuld be on everyone's bucket list!
